The arithmetic is ₹54,999 − ₹2,000 − ₹3,000 = ₹49,999. That makes ₹49,999 an effective price after maximum additional benefits, not the amount every customer would necessarily pay upfront.

What buyers needed to qualify
HDFC Bank discount
The offer was described as a discount of up to ₹2,000 on eligible HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. The available report does not specify the minimum transaction value, eligible card categories, transaction caps, whether EMI and non-EMI payments were treated differently, or whether the discount was instant or paid later.
Do not assume that any HDFC card qualifies. At checkout, verify the exact offer terms and confirm that the discount appears in the final payment summary before paying.

- Exchange value: Flipkart’s assessed value for the old device.
- Exchange bonus: The additional promotional amount, reported as ₹3,000.

The old phone could be reassessed during pickup or inspection. Its condition, model, functionality and eligibility could affect the final credit. The available coverage does not establish that every handset qualified for the ₹3,000 bonus.
No-cost EMI
The 2024 report also mentioned a no-cost EMI option, but did not identify the issuing banks, tenures, minimum order value or whether the HDFC benefit could be combined with it.

No-cost EMI changes the payment schedule; it does not automatically reduce the handset’s price. Card eligibility, issuer terms and the offer structure still matter. Apple’s financing terms similarly explain that no-cost EMI depends on an eligible card, minimum order value and an active offer.
Which iPhone 15 was covered?
The available deal report does not independently verify the storage capacity of the model priced at ₹54,999 or used in the ₹49,999 calculation. That matters because Apple launched the iPhone 15 in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB configurations. A price for one capacity should not be assumed to apply to all three.
Before ordering, check the exact storage, colour, seller and invoice details on the product page. Inventory and delivery availability may also vary by pincode.

Was the deal available to everyone?
The promotion was reported as live for Flipkart Plus members when the article was published. Access and final pricing could also depend on:
- available sale inventory;
- the selected capacity and colour;
- delivery pincode;
- an eligible HDFC card and payment method;
- exchange-device eligibility and inspection;
- offer limits, timing and stacking rules.
The available evidence does not establish whether the same price later became available to all Flipkart customers.

Is the iPhone 15 still worth considering?
At a genuinely low price, the iPhone 15 can remain attractive to buyers who want Apple’s ecosystem without paying for a newer generation. It includes the A16 Bionic chip, Dynamic Island, a 48MP main camera and USB-C. Apple’s launch announcement lists the original Indian starting price as ₹79,900.

However, it is an older generation by 2026. Its value depends primarily on the discount, expected software-support period, storage requirement and the price difference versus newer iPhones. USB-C also does not automatically mean high-speed transfers: Apple’s launch material specifies USB 2 support for the iPhone 15 connector.
Consider the deal more carefully if you need greater storage, the latest camera features or the longest possible remaining product cycle. Conversely, the offer was more compelling for a buyer who already had an eligible exchange phone and HDFC card and wanted the standard iPhone 15 rather than a Pro model.

- Confirm the exact iPhone 15 capacity, colour and model.
- Check the seller and product listing details.
- Record the displayed base price before discounts and exchange benefits.
- Read the HDFC offer terms shown on the payment page.

- Ensure the invoice identifies the correct model and storage capacity.
- Photograph the old phone, back it up, remove account locks and inspect the new package and device immediately after delivery.
Warranty and purchase-channel checks
Apple states that new Apple-branded products include a one-year limited manufacturer warranty, subject to its terms. That warranty is separate from Flipkart’s seller, delivery, replacement and return obligations. Review the terms for the specific listing rather than assuming that Apple’s warranty determines the marketplace return process.
