A February 2024 PerthNow feature highlighted five homes across Perth and the South West as possibilities for a hypothetical $200 million Powerball winner. Their reported prices ranged from $2 million to $9.85 million. Those figures and the listings’ on-market status are historical, not confirmation that any home is available today.
What the five homes cost in the 2024 feature
The roundup was published by PerthNow on 1 February 2024, when a $200 million Powerball jackpot was approaching. It mixed coastal homes, a riverside entertaining property, a character house and a South West estate; it was not a live ranking of Perth mansions. The prices below are those reported in that feature, not current valuations or asking prices.
| Home and location | Price reported in 2024 | Bedrooms and bathrooms | Standout features reported |
|---|---|---|---|

How the homes differ
Margaret River: space, nature and ocean views
The South West estate at 39 St Alouarn combined a large pool and spa features with natural surroundings and ocean outlooks. Its reported four bedrooms and four bathrooms made it the largest-bedroom-count match alongside the Dalkeith home, though the two properties offer very different settings.

Are these homes still for sale?
The 2024 feature confirms only what PerthNow reported at publication. It does not establish whether any home remains listed, has sold, changed price or is still in the same condition. For current Western Australian listings, REIWA offers property search, filters, maps, property reports, sold history and suburb comparisons (REIWA). Those tools can help with a current search, but the existence of a search platform does not verify the status of these five particular homes.

The $200 million figure was the approaching jackpot in the February 2024 story; it is not a statement of today’s jackpot. Lotterywest says Powerball draws take place on Thursday nights and consist of seven winning numbers plus one Powerball. Division 1 requires all eight numbers. Its standard-game odds for Division 1 are approximately 1 in 134,490,400, while the overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 44. These figures apply to one standard game and are stated by Lotterywest (Lotterywest Powerball information and odds).

Lotterywest also cautions that no skill or strategy increases the chance of winning: the chance does not change. A ticket buys a chance to win, not a guarantee. The listed property prices are therefore best read as a snapshot of an aspirational 2024 feature, not a financial plan or a forecast of what a jackpot winner could buy today.
