Which First Aid Beauty moisturizer jars were recalled?
NewBeauty reported on January 24, 2025, that First Aid Beauty voluntarily recalled 2,756 jars of 14-ounce Ultra Repair Cream, colloidal oatmeal 0.5%, in Coconut Vanilla. The report’s headline rounded the count to 2,500; 2,756 is the detailed figure in its account. The lots identified were:
- 24D44 — expiration date April 10, 2026.
- 24D45 — expiration date April 11, 2026.
The report says the recall was initiated December 23, 2024, after product intended for quarantine was inadvertently distributed, and that the FDA assigned it a Class II classification on January 21, 2025. These specific recall details were reported by NewBeauty; they should not be read as a recall of every Ultra Repair Cream product.
How to check your jar
- Confirm the product is Ultra Repair Cream in Coconut Vanilla.
- Confirm the container is the 14-ounce size.
- Check the package for lot code 24D44 or 24D45. The lot code—not the expiration date alone—is the key identifier in the recall report.
If you need help locating package information, First Aid Beauty’s general FAQ says expiration dates may appear on the bottom of a jar, bottle, or tube; some packaging instead carries a period-after-opening symbol. That general guidance does not replace checking the lot code.

What to do if your jar matches
The report says the company told consumers with affected product to stop using it and discard it. It also says First Aid Beauty contacted impacted consumers and sent a replacement Ultra Repair Cream in Grapefruit. Because that account describes the company’s response at the time of the recall, it does not confirm that a replacement, refund, or customer-service remedy remains available now.
What the Class II classification means
NewBeauty described Class II as a situation in which use or exposure may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, or in which the probability of serious consequences is remote. That is not a declaration of zero risk, nor does it mean every product from the brand is unsafe.

The FDA explains that a recall is a firm’s removal or correction of a marketed product the agency considers to violate laws it administers and against which it would take legal action. The agency says most cosmetic recalls generally are voluntary. Its recalls guidance provides regulatory context; it is not an official notice confirming the specific details above.

First Aid Beauty’s current listing for Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration describes a face-and-body moisturizer with 0.5% colloidal oatmeal. That product page is a distinct listing; it does not establish whether an individual jar is affected. Check the recalled scent, size, and lot code rather than relying on the product name or ingredient alone.
