Before budgeting, check the live checkout price and add the plan, taxes and any device setup charge.
What Fido’s current promotions page lists
Fido’s promotions page, viewed on October 8, 2026, listed the Samsung Galaxy S26 at $40 per month after bill credit with a Plus plan for 24 months. Fido lists the phone’s full price as $1,511.28; taxes are extra, and a $40 Device Setup Charge may apply. See Fido’s promotions page for the offer and applicable terms.
The $40 monthly figure is a device payment after bill credits, not the full monthly cost of owning the phone through Fido. The required Plus plan is an additional cost; the promotion page snapshot does not establish its price or the complete eligibility conditions for this specific offer. Confirm both at checkout before signing up.
Prices reported during the July back-to-school sale
On July 24, 2026, MobileSyrup reported the following device payments for Fido’s back-to-school campaign. The figures were described as applying after bill credits with Fido Payment Program and a Plus plan, over 24 months at 0% APR, with taxes extra. They are dated examples, not prices verified on Fido’s October promotions page.

The totals multiply MobileSyrup’s reported monthly figures by 24; they exclude the required plan, taxes and any setup charge. A $0 device payment should not be read as a free phone without checking how the bill credits work and what happens if the customer no longer meets their terms. MobileSyrup’s July 24, 2026 report also described the campaign’s plan discount as limited to the standard $5 autopay discount.
How to compare the real cost
Compare the total cost over the period you expect to keep the service, rather than deciding from a phone’s advertised monthly payment alone. For a 24-month comparison, add the device payments and the plan charges for all 24 months, then account for taxes and any setup fee. If the price depends on bill credits, use the applicable terms to understand whether you must maintain a particular plan or service to receive every credit.

- Plan: Confirm the Plus plan price for your account and whether an automatic-payment discount is reflected in the quoted rate.
- Credits and eligibility: Ask whether approval or continued plan eligibility is required, and how credits are applied over time.
- Upfront charges: Fido says taxes are extra and a $40 Device Setup Charge may apply to the current Galaxy S26 promotion.
- Trade-in: Fido’s page advertises up to $360 in credit for an eligible trade-in when activating a new phone with Fido Payment Program. “Up to” is a maximum, not a guaranteed offer; get the value for your specific device and condition.
- Availability and condition: Confirm stock and whether the phone is new or certified pre-owned, if that distinction matters to you. The available page snapshot does not establish those details for every offer.
What the reported two-line offer means
MobileSyrup also reported a student-approved offer of 60GB per line across two lines for $95 per month total: $50 for the primary line and $45 for the second. Fido’s promotions page snapshot did not confirm that rate as still available in October 2026. Treat it as a historical example and verify the current rate, data terms and eligibility directly with Fido before building a budget around it.

- Open Fido’s promotions page and select the exact phone and plan you want.
- At checkout, confirm the device’s monthly payment, term, bill credits, full price and any conditions attached to the credits.
- Check the plan charge, taxes, possible setup fee, trade-in quote and phone availability in the final order details.
- Compare the total you will pay over the term—not just the device installment—with other plans or a phone purchased separately.
Offer prices and stock can change, and the final checkout terms govern what is available to you. The July sale figures should not be used as current quotes.
