FDH Aero announced on April 27, 2023, that it had acquired BJG Electronics Group, a distributor of interconnect and electromechanical products for aerospace, defense and space customers. The announcement framed the deal as a way to expand FDH Aero’s supply-chain role and product offering; it did not report a purchase price or measured results. FDH later integrated BJG into FDH Electronics and announced a rebrand in December 2023.
When did FDH Aero acquire BJG Electronics?
FDH Aero announced the acquisition on April 27, 2023. The announcement says FDH had acquired BJG, but does not give a separate closing date. FDH’s corporate history identifies BJG as its thirteenth acquisition and says it became a wholly owned subsidiary.
The thirteenth-acquisition description is FDH’s own portfolio count, not an independently compiled ranking. FDH Aero’s strategic-growth history records the company’s characterization of the transaction.
What did BJG Electronics do?
FDH described BJG as a distributor of interconnect and electromechanical products serving defense, commercial aerospace and space markets. Its customers included original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and providers of aftermarket services in aerospace and defense. The company was based in Ronkonkoma, New York, and FDH said it was founded in 1979.

That is specialist business-to-business distribution, not consumer electronics retail. FDH’s 2025 electronics line card illustrates the broader industrial product context, listing connectors, contacts and sealing plugs, ground-power connectors, MIL-STD-1553 data-bus products, wire and cable, and electromechanical components. It also describes services such as customer-specific kitting, build-to-print work, cable assembly, custom wire and cable manufacturing, inventory management, consignment, connector assembly and laser marking.
The line card identifies military and defense, commercial aerospace, space, eVTOL and advanced air mobility as markets. It also states that FDH Aero has AS9100 Rev D and AS9120 Rev B registered quality systems and describes export-control compliance and a process for applying for export licenses when required. These are company statements about its systems and processes; they do not establish that every product or transaction falls under the same requirements.

Why did FDH Aero acquire BJG?
FDH said the acquisition would broaden its role in aviation and defense supply chains and give FDH and BJG customers access to a wider range of products and services. CEO Scott Tucker linked the combination to expanded product availability and supply-chain efficiency. Those remarks describe FDH’s strategic rationale and expectations, not independently verified outcomes.
The stated fit was based on adjacent capabilities and customer coverage: BJG supplied interconnect and electromechanical products to aerospace, defense and space markets, serving both OEMs and aftermarket-services providers. FDH’s April 27, 2023 acquisition announcement includes the company’s rationale and statements from its executives and BJG representative.

What happened to BJG after the acquisition?
FDH announced two subsequent integration milestones. They were later organizational changes, not terms disclosed as part of the April acquisition announcement.

FDH Electronics’ news index lists a September 2, 2026, acquisition of Peerless Electronics, showing that the division continued to develop its portfolio. That later announcement does not establish BJG’s individual financial contribution or prove that the 2023 acquisition met its stated aims.
