How to interpret these wage figures
SalaryLeaks says its Primeira Liga salary data draws on Portuguese football publications, club financial reports and contract details reported by journalists covering transfers and negotiations. It says players marked verified have salary details reported by trusted Portuguese journalists and media outlets. This describes the publisher’s methodology; it does not make the figures official FC Porto disclosures or independently prove that every estimate is exact.
The displayed values are rounded estimates. There is a small internal discrepancy for Bednarek: SalaryLeaks’ FAQ gives €67,300 per week, while its ranked table rounds him to €67,000. The table’s rounded figure is used here to keep the ranking consistent.

Why the club wage-bill total is unclear
SalaryLeaks’ page gives conflicting aggregate totals: its header labels €50.7 million the “Current Wage Bill,” while the 2025/26 roster table totals €41.8 million and the FAQ also repeats €41.8 million. Those figures are not interchangeable, and the page does not resolve the mismatch. The individual player estimates above are clearer than a single definitive wage-bill total.

Football salary databases can report different highest-earner estimates. A search result for another salary site showed a differing claim, but its full 2025/26 list and methodology could not be verified; other wage pages were either inaccessible or not clearly scoped to this season. The ranking here therefore follows the directly available SalaryLeaks 2025/26 table rather than treating database estimates as settled contract facts.
