AirPods 4 with ANC: why $139 stood out
At $139, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation were $50 below Apple’s $179 U.S. list price at the time. The deal tracker described it as the lowest tracked price then, not a permanent or all-time benchmark; later promotions reached lower prices, including a reported $99 offer in 2025.
The Amazon offer used the standard AirPods 4 with ANC configuration. The historical product page is here, but its current seller, condition and price must be checked independently.

AirPods 4 versus AirPods 4 with ANC
| Feature | AirPods 4 | AirPods 4 with ANC |
|---|---|---|
| Apple list price shown by Apple | $129 | $179 |
| Active Noise Cancellation | No | Yes |
| Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode | No | Yes |
| Charging case | USB-C | USB-C, wireless charging and Find My speaker |
| Claimed listening per charge | Up to 5 hours | Up to 4 hours with ANC; up to 5 hours with ANC off |
| Total listening with case | Up to 30 hours | Up to 30 hours |
| Fit | Open-style, no silicone tips | Open-style, no silicone tips |
| Chip and resistance | H2; IP54 | H2; IP54 |
Apple lists the comparison and U.S. pricing at its AirPods buying page. Apple’s battery figures are test claims; volume, calls, spatial audio and ANC use change real-world results. IP54 means dust, sweat and water resistance, not waterproofing, and Apple says not to charge the earbuds while wet. Neither model includes a USB-C cable or power adapter. Technical qualifications are in Apple’s support documentation.
When AirPods Pro is the better buy
AirPods 4 ANC retain an open fit. ANC can reduce surrounding sound, but without a silicone seal they generally cannot provide the same passive isolation as an in-ear model. AirPods Pro adds silicone tips and Apple’s current comparison lists hearing testing, hearing-aid functionality, hearing protection and, for the current Pro 3 listing, workout heart-rate sensing. AirPods Pro 2 was reported at $170 versus a $249 regular price during the 2024 deal period.

Apple Watch Series 10 configurations
| Configuration | Historical deal price | Historical regular price |
|---|---|---|
| 42mm GPS | $330 | $399 |
| 46mm GPS | $360 | $429 |
| 42mm GPS + Cellular | $430 | $499 |
| 46mm GPS + Cellular | $460 | $529 |
| 42mm titanium cellular | $649 | $699 |
| 46mm titanium cellular | $679 | $749 |
These prices were listed in the December 6, 2024 roundup, not verified as current 2026 inventory. A “from $330” headline could apply to one size, color or band only.
Size, connectivity and material trade-offs
- 42mm versus 46mm: The larger case provides more display area but can feel heavier or less comfortable on a smaller wrist.
- GPS versus GPS + Cellular: Cellular permits supported calls and data away from the iPhone, but activation and a recurring carrier plan add to ownership cost.
- Aluminum versus titanium: Titanium configurations cost more and differ in material, finish and weight expectations. They should not be compared with aluminum solely by the Series 10 name.
- Band and color: A discount may apply only to a specific band or finish. Confirm the exact configuration and whether inventory is new rather than renewed, refurbished or open-box.
Older Apple Watch generations can disappear quickly after newer models launch. Check iPhone and operating-system compatibility, seller identity, return terms and cellular-carrier support before paying.

What the AirFly SE does for travelers
The Twelve South AirFly SE is a Bluetooth transmitter. It takes audio from a wired 3.5mm output and sends it to AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones. That makes it useful with airplane seat-back systems, treadmills, older gaming devices and other equipment that offers a headphone jack but no Bluetooth.
The historical Iridescent model was $27.99 versus $40 after clipping an on-page Amazon coupon. Free shipping was available to Prime members or on orders over $35. The deal page now marks that offer expired.

Limitations to understand
- It requires a compatible 3.5mm audio output; it is not a general-purpose Bluetooth receiver.
- Airline seat hardware and connector placement vary, so compatibility is not guaranteed on every aircraft.
- Bluetooth pairing can add latency and may require resetting when switching users or devices.
- AirFly Duo, AirFly Pro or newer models may be better if you need two headphone connections, receive mode or additional controls.
The original listing reported more than 20 hours of battery life and USB-C charging; verify those specifications against the current manufacturer listing before relying on them.

- Record the price-check date and time, then compare the checkout price with Apple’s current list price.
- Separate list, sale, coupon, membership and final checkout prices.
- Confirm the product is new and sold and shipped by the named retailer or an authorized seller.
- For Apple Watch, write down case size, GPS or cellular, material, color and band before comparing prices.
- Add tax, shipping, membership fees and any cellular plan to the effective cost.
- Check return policy, warranty coverage and compatibility before ordering.
Who benefited most from the historical offers?
- Budget earbud buyers: AirPods 4 at $119 were the least expensive option in the roundup.
- Open-fit ANC buyers: AirPods 4 with ANC at $139 combined the lower-profile fit with ANC and wireless charging.
- Travelers: AirFly SE made wired entertainment systems usable with wireless headphones for about $28, provided the source had a 3.5mm jack.
- Apple Watch upgraders: The Series 10 discounts were meaningful only after choosing the exact size, material, connectivity and band.
Because the principal offers are expired, wait for a newly verified sale rather than treating the December 2024 prices as guaranteed targets.
