Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. It is a new permanent World of Warcraft branch set in a reimagined original Azeroth. A standard WoW Subscription or Game Time includes access; the separately sold upgrade packs are optional. What is WoW: Forever?
Blizzard describes World of Warcraft: Forever as a permanent home alongside modern WoW and Classic WoW. Its story is set after the events of Warcraft III: Reforged—Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core. Players return to the original continents, progress to level 60, and continue into new stories, experiences, and updates.

Blizzard says the world and its community are central to the project. The announcement roundup says developers discussed regions, dungeons, raids, systems, and the Skyborne race, but it does not provide a complete feature-by-feature account of the launch implementation. It therefore does not establish every class, dungeon, raid, profession, or system change, nor a definitive comparison with modern or Classic WoW.

Blizzard announced a global launch on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. The time is Pacific Standard Time; players in other time zones should convert it to their local time. Do you need to buy WoW: Forever separately?
No separate purchase is required for basic access if you have a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time, according to Blizzard. The Heroic and Epic packs and the limited-time Collection are optional upgrades with additional benefits. Their purchase is not a prerequisite for playing at launch.
Blizzard’s announcement does not establish regional prices, complete PC system requirements, or supported platforms. Check the official listing for current purchase terms and technical requirements before making a buying decision.

How does the beta work?
Blizzard says beta testing runs through October 21, 2026, which it identifies as the last full day of testing. Selected players receive an email invitation directing them to download the client through the Battle.net desktop app. Beta access is also included with the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection; Blizzard does not list it as a Heroic Pack benefit. The beta period and access terms can change, so consult Blizzard’s announcement for the latest information.

The Cerulean Prideclaw is a ground mount, and Blizzard says its riding skill must be purchased in-game. The Collection is described as limited-time and was announced as available through January 11, 2027; that end date is subject to change. Is there a physical Collector’s Edition?
Yes. Blizzard says a physical World of Warcraft: Forever Collector’s Edition is available through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last. The announcement does not confirm an Amazon listing or its availability there, so check the Gear Store for the official product and current stock.

What has Blizzard not confirmed in the announcement?
The available official roundup does not establish regional prices, full PC system requirements, supported platforms, all launch-day content, or a definitive feature-by-feature comparison with modern and Classic WoW. It also names developers who discussed the project at a panel but does not provide their exact spoken words.
