Liverpool’s published 2026/27 wage estimates put Virgil van Dijk at the top of the listed squad, at £350,000 a week in both estimates shown by This Is Anfield. These figures are not confirmed by Liverpool FC: third-party estimates differ, and reported weekly wages do not necessarily include bonuses or image rights.
Estimated Liverpool player wages for 2026/27
The table below reproduces the gross weekly estimates published by This Is Anfield, which attributes the figures to Capology and Spotrac. A blank dash means that the source table did not show a figure; it does not mean the player is unpaid. The amounts are estimates, not confirmed contract terms.

Source: This Is Anfield’s 2026/27 salary table, attributed to Capology and Spotrac. The table preserves each outlet’s estimate rather than presenting one as definitive.
Why the estimates differ
The gap between outlets is substantial for some players. For example, This Is Anfield’s table lists Dominik Szoboszlai at £320,000 a week from Capology and £250,000 from Spotrac. Its Alisson estimates are £250,000 and £150,000 respectively. The National’s August 25, 2026 list also put Alisson at £150,000 a week, while SalaryLeaks’ August 27, 2026 list gave Szoboszlai £250,000 a week. These are comparisons among estimates, not independent confirmation of contract terms.

This Is Anfield places Van Dijk at £350,000 a week in both columns and calls him Liverpool’s highest-paid player after Mohamed Salah’s departure. It also mentions a separate reported figure of £385,000 a week. That difference is a reason to avoid treating any figure as a verified contractual amount.
What these wage figures include—and what they do not
Capology describes its salary figures as estimates and separates estimated fixed pay from bonuses and other benefits. This Is Anfield also notes that incentives and add-ons can affect actual compensation. The weekly figures should therefore be read as reported gross base or fixed-wage estimates, not a complete measure of each player’s total earnings.

Capology’s page lists 28 available players and estimates Liverpool’s gross fixed wage bill at £220,376,000 per year, or £4,238,000 per week, excluding bonuses. That is a database estimate, not an audited figure for the club’s total staff costs.
Why Liverpool’s official accounts do not confirm individual wages
Liverpool’s financial results for the year ended May 31, 2025, announced February 27, 2026, reported £703 million in revenue, £428 million in staff costs and £8 million in profit after tax. The staff-cost figure covers a wider group than the men’s first-team players, so it is not a player-only wage bill and cannot verify the estimates above. The club’s financial information page links to its annual accounts.

The club has not published an official player-by-player wage table or a public contract ledger verifying each player’s pay. Exact compensation, including bonuses and other arrangements, remains undisclosed in the cited public information.

Liverpool’s June 9, 2026 retained-list announcement said Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Rhys Williams were departing the senior squad after 2025/26. Salah’s prior-season wage should therefore not be carried into a current 2026/27 squad list. The estimates in the table above are those presented by This Is Anfield for the season, not an official club payroll disclosure.

For context on the club’s financial approach, chief financial officer Jenny Beacham said in Liverpool’s February 27, 2026 results announcement: “We make no secret of our desire to run and operate a financially sustainable club, to grow revenue streams, and to do all we can off the pitch to help bring more success on it.”
