The announcement described more than 300,000 direct jobs, over 50 branch offices by the fourth quarter of 2025, expanded cloud hashrate and government support. As of August 18, 2026, the available material does not establish that the money was funded, the offices opened, the jobs were created or the hashrate was deployed.
What Erpminer announced
A March 27, 2025 report attributed to Erpminer said the company planned to invest $40 million in the Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville. The stated objectives were to recruit miners, increase computing capacity and expand the company’s cloud-hashrate offering. The report described a multi-algorithm, multi-cryptocurrency service and linked the expansion to higher mining returns, but those returns were presented as a company objective rather than a guarantee.
The same report attributed several targets to Erpminer:
- More than 300,000 direct jobs;
- More than 50 branch offices by the fourth quarter of 2025;
- Cooperation with local authorities and communities on sustainable energy;
- Government policy and infrastructure support; and
- Expansion of cloud hashrate and recruitment of miners.
The announcement appears in TechBullion coverage. That article is secondary reporting of company claims, not an audited investment filing or government project document.

Announcement, agreement or completed investment?
The wording available publicly does not identify a signed investment contract, concession, memorandum of understanding, project company, site, capital-disbursement schedule or approving ministry. A separate March 24, 2025 syndicated release said Erpminer had completed discussions with Congolese government officials and planned technical training and recruitment. It did not name the officials, legal instrument or authorization number.
That distinction matters. A press release can describe an intention; a formal investment agreement creates identifiable obligations; an operating project leaves physical, financial and regulatory records. The Republic of the Congo’s investment-promotion agency says it assists investors with authorizations needed to carry out investment programs. A credible verification process would therefore identify the relevant authority and publish the authorization or registration documents: API Congo.
What is verified—and what is not

Useful evidence would include a Congolese company registration, a named local subsidiary, a land lease and facility address, energy and environmental permits, an electricity contract, equipment-import records, construction evidence, payroll records, audited funding statements and independently verifiable mining-pool or blockchain data. Repeated publication of the announcement is not a substitute for those records.

The numbers do not reconcile
An earlier December 30, 2024 release claimed an agreement to create more than 2 million jobs over nine years and more than 50,000 users in Congo-Brazzaville. The later announcement used a figure of more than 300,000 direct jobs, while the March 2025 release cited more than 100,000 Congo users. These may reflect different dates or definitions, but the releases do not explain the changes. They should be reported as separate, unreconciled company claims. Mining facilities can employ engineers, electricians, cooling and ventilation specialists, security workers, logistics staff, network technicians, repair crews, managers, trainers and administrators. But machine count does not automatically equal hundreds of thousands of direct employees.
Erpminer would need to define whether “miners” means salaried staff, customers purchasing cloud capacity, sales agents, affiliates, trainees or people counted in indirect employment. A serious jobs claim should disclose:
- Full-time, temporary, contract and commission-based positions;
- The number physically located at mining facilities;
- Branch staffing assumptions and locations;
- Training participants versus employees;
- Annual payroll and operating costs; and
- How the $40 million would cover equipment, power, buildings, salaries, networking and working capital.
What “enhanced cloud hashrate” means
Hashrate is the computing capacity used to perform cryptocurrency-mining calculations. Increasing it can give a platform a larger share of mining rewards, but it also increases electricity, cooling, maintenance, connectivity and financing costs. More hashrate does not by itself produce higher customer returns.
Net outcomes depend on coin prices, network difficulty, block rewards, uptime, pool fees, maintenance charges, contract duration, payout rules and the operator’s solvency. In cloud mining, a customer generally buys or rents a contractual entitlement to computing power rather than controlling a specific machine. Erpminer would need to disclose the algorithms, cryptocurrencies, hardware models, mining pools, allocation method and payout formula before users could evaluate the claim. Its statement that customers can earn consistent rewards without mining-pool fees remains a company assertion, as reported by TechBullion.
Infrastructure a real deployment would require
A commercial mining operation needs reliable, affordable electricity; high-voltage distribution and backup generation; industrial cooling; resilient internet or fiber links; secure buildings or mining containers; customs clearance and spare-parts logistics; fire protection; equipment repair; waste-heat management; technical staff; and tax, licensing and environmental compliance.

“Sustainable energy” describes an intention, not proof of renewable operation. Verification would require the energy source, available generation capacity, expected megawatt load, electricity provider, power-purchase agreement and carbon-accounting method. A project can also bring construction, training, tax and connectivity benefits while imposing heavy electricity demand, noise, heat, imported-equipment dependence and cryptocurrency price exposure.

The promised deadline was the fourth quarter of 2025. The available material does not verify that more than 50 staffed branches opened, where they were located, whether recruitment began, or whether a mining facility was commissioned. Nor does it provide a post-deadline completion report, updated hashrate data or independently confirmed employment totals. The correct status is therefore unverified, not completed and not definitively missed.
A later promotional announcement publicized an August 10–12, 2025 Brazzaville event, an ERP token and a three-year Africa strategy. Those statements do not establish regulatory approval, financing or operations: MarketersMedia announcement.

Risks for cloud-mining customers
Customers face risks beyond cryptocurrency volatility:
- No proof that advertised machines exist or that the stated hashrate is assigned to them;
- Maintenance, withdrawal or activation fees that reduce payouts;
- Contract terms allowing unilateral changes;
- Delayed withdrawals, account restrictions or platform shutdown;
- Operator insolvency and inability to verify equipment ownership or liabilities;
- Cross-border legal and dispute-resolution difficulties; and
- Recruitment or referral activity presented as employment.
Before paying, request a legal entity and registration record, written contract, equipment or hashrate-verification method, complete fee schedule, withdrawal rules, audited financial statements, government authorization and the governing jurisdiction. Treat guaranteed-return language, pressure to recruit others and upfront “activation” deposits as warning signs. The first-party destinations identified in promotional material are erpminer.com and active.erpminer.com; a website or registration page is not independent proof of solvency or physical mining capacity.
Cloud mining versus owning an ASIC
Buying an ASIC from a manufacturer makes the hardware and its hashrate more tangible, but the buyer assumes electricity, hosting, cooling, customs, repairs, downtime and resale risk. Official manufacturer destinations include Bitmain, MicroBT and Canaan. Neither hardware ownership nor a cloud contract guarantees profit; both depend on power cost, machine efficiency, coin economics and operating execution.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Erpminer’s $40 million Congo expansion is a genuine published corporate announcement, but the available evidence does not independently establish the investment, 300,000 jobs, 50 branches, government authorization or increased cloud hashrate. Treat the proposal as unverified until the company and relevant Congolese authorities publish legal, financial, infrastructure and operating records.
