The airline said on 17 November 2025 that it expected its first Boeing 777-9 deliveries from Q2 2027 and planned to equip the aircraft with its latest onboard products. That is a dated expectation, not a confirmed delivery or launch date.
What will Emirates’ 777X Business Class look like?
Emirates has not disclosed the 777X Business Class seat supplier, number of seats, cabin layout, bed dimensions, storage, privacy features, doors or social area in the official material cited here. Until the airline releases attributable specifications or a direct presentation, descriptions of those features should be treated as unverified.
In its 17 November 2025 announcement, Emirates said it intended to equip its new aircraft with its latest onboard products. That signals an intention to install updated products, but does not identify what the 777X Business Class suite will include.
When does Emirates expect to receive the Boeing 777X?
Emirates said it expected the first 777-9 deliveries from Q2 2027. The statement was an outlook published on 17 November 2025; it does not establish that deliveries have occurred or that the schedule remains unchanged. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said the airline looked forward to receiving its first 777-9s from that quarter and equipping them with its latest onboard products.

In the same announcement, Emirates reported an orderbook of 270 Boeing 777X aircraft, within 315 widebody aircraft ordered from Boeing. That is an orderbook count as reported on that date—not a count of aircraft delivered or in service.
Is the refurbished Boeing 777 cabin the same as the 777X?
No. Emirates describes its refurbished Boeing 777 Business Class as having up to 38 seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, champagne leather seats and an upgraded social area. Those details apply to the retrofit program, not to the future 777X cabin.

A Dubai Media Office release dated 1 July 2024 also describes the refurbished 777’s new 1-2-1 Business Class arrangement and deployment on selected routes. It does not describe the 777X. The retrofit is therefore a useful example of an existing Emirates product, but not evidence of the layout or features the airline will choose for the new aircraft.

Boeing’s general 777X cabin materials describe larger windows, bigger overhead bins, immersive LED lighting and a wider cabin. These are aircraft-family cabin claims, not specifications for Emirates’ Business Class installation. They do not establish the airline’s seat design, suite doors, aisle arrangement or privacy configuration.

For travelers weighing a future 777X flight against Emirates’ refurbished 777, the only reliable comparison today is what has actually been published: the retrofit has a stated layout and features; the 777X Business Class cabin does not yet have publicly specified details in the official sources cited here. Comfort, privacy and suite features cannot be fairly compared until Emirates publishes the 777X configuration.
