Elizabeth Holmes’s X account posted a lengthy message on September 28, 2026. Holmes said loved ones, including her partner Billy Evans, had helped manage the account and that posts written in her own words would be signed “-EAH.” Her explanation does not establish who authored or posted every message, or that she is accessing X directly from prison.
What did Holmes say in the September 28 post?
Variety reported that the post said Holmes had been imprisoned for 1,216 days, was fighting to prove her innocence, and wanted to return to her children and partner. The 1,216-day figure was Holmes’s own statement, not an independently verified count. She also wrote, “I was silenced for a long time. And then imprisoned.”
Holmes said loved ones had helped manage the account and named Evans among them. She introduced a convention for identifying her own writing: “Starting now, all posts in my own words will be marked -EAH.” She said posts without that signature came from the team managing the account. Those statements describe the arrangement as she presented it; they do not independently verify the author of each post.
Is Holmes tweeting directly from prison?
The available reporting does not establish that Holmes is directly accessing X from prison. A Houston Chronicle report from August 29, 2025 said she was at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas and that her account had resumed activity. The account bio at that time read, “Mostly my words, posted by others.”

The Chronicle said federal prisoners could not have personal cell phones and that electronic devices permitted in federal custody were disconnected from the internet. It also reported that the Bureau of Prisons had not responded by publication to a question about whether inmates could direct outside contacts to post for them. That 2025 report is background, not a current official ruling on Holmes’s account arrangement.

Variety connected the renewed attention to You Can See Everything, a documentary by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. Holmes and Evans had invited the filmmakers into their home before her imprisonment, Variety reported. Holmes’s post does not establish that the documentary prompted her to resume posting or explain a motive beyond what she wrote.
