Elite Trader Funding (ETF) is not verified as a scam, but it is also not a conventional brokerage account where the advertised balance is yours to withdraw. Most customers trade in simulated accounts, pay evaluation or activation fees, and must satisfy detailed drawdown, trading-day, conduct, audit, and payout rules before receiving money.
The fairest conclusion is that ETF appears to be an operating futures-prop firm with published products, platform integrations, payout procedures, and documented customer payouts. It is best viewed as legitimate but high-contract-risk. That may suit a disciplined futures trader who understands the rules. It is a poor fit for anyone treating a $50,000 or $100,000 account label as cash they control.
What Elite Trader Funding actually sells
Elite Trader Funding LLC sells access to futures trading programs rather than ordinary brokerage accounts. The usual path is:
- Buy an evaluation, or choose Direct to Funded.
- Trade under simulated-market conditions.
- Meet the plan’s profit target, trading-day, drawdown, and conduct rules.
- Activate an Elite Sim-Funded account.
- Complete safety-net and Active Trade Day requirements before requesting a payout.
- Possibly transition to LIVE ELITE, which ETF describes as real-market execution using real capital.
The advertised account sizes—$10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $150,000, and $250,000—are program-sizing figures. They are not cash deposited in your name at a personal brokerage account. ETF’s performance disclosure also warns that futures and forex trading carries substantial risk and that hypothetical results do not predict actual performance.

ETF account types
The Help Center currently lists several structures:
| Plan | Main feature |
|---|---|
| 1-Step | Uses a live-trailing drawdown during evaluation and Elite Sim-Funded trading. |
| End of Day (EOD) | Calculates drawdown using end-of-day balances and may include a daily loss limit. |
| Static | Uses a non-trailing drawdown. |
| Diamond Hands | Permits overnight and weekend positions under its specific rules. |
| Fast Track | A time-limited intermediate evaluation. |
| Direct to Funded (DTF) | Skips the evaluation but starts as an Elite Sim-Funded account. |
DTF is therefore not a live brokerage account. ETF’s current DTF explanation says it has no evaluation phase and no monthly subscription, but the account remains simulated. It also limits traders to up to five active DTF accounts.
Important account-limit changes
For accounts purchased on or after September 17, 2025, at 9 a.m. Eastern, ETF generally limits traders to five active Elite Sim-Funded accounts. The firm also generally limits payouts to a cumulative $25,000 per trader before LIVE ELITE eligibility. ETF may move a trader to LIVE ELITE before, during, or after a payout request.
Some older accounts may be grandfathered. ETF’s EOD documentation says certain accounts purchased before that date can retain older treatment, including up to 20 active Elite Sim-Funded accounts in applicable circumstances. Online reviews that broadly claim “ETF allows 20 funded accounts” are therefore outdated or incomplete.
How the current 1-Step evaluation works
Under the current 1-Step documentation, a trader must:
- Trade on at least five days.
- Reach the applicable profit target.
- Avoid breaching the trailing drawdown.
- Trade the current contract with the highest volume.
There is no maximum number of days to reach the target, but the evaluation subscription renews every 30 days until it is passed or canceled. Any day on which a trade is placed counts as a trading day, with Sunday evening and Monday treated as the same trading day.
For example, ETF’s $50,000 illustration uses a $2,000 maximum drawdown. A $1,000 realized gain can move the minimum balance from $48,000 to $49,000 during evaluation. That is materially different from a fixed $2,000 risk allowance.
The 1-Step funded-account drawdown trap
The Elite Sim-Funded version has an especially important rule: the drawdown can follow the account’s highest unrealized profit until realized profits reach the maximum drawdown plus $100.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteUsing ETF’s $50,000 example, the drawdown is $2,000. If an open position reaches $1,000 in unrealized profit and then reverses, the account’s drawdown threshold may already have moved upward. Once realized profit reaches $2,100, the trailing drawdown locks and the minimum balance becomes the starting balance plus $100.
This creates a failure mode that surprises many new traders: an account can show an overall profit while still breaching because an earlier unrealized high moved the threshold. Traders need to monitor the actual liquidation level, not just the headline balance.

What is required for a payout?
Passing an evaluation does not automatically create a payout right. Current Elite Sim-Funded payout requirements generally include:
- Reaching the plan’s safety net.
- Completing the required Active Trade Days.
- Keeping an applicable subscription active.
- Completing KYC.
- Completing Rise onboarding.
- Waiting for ETF approval before resuming trading.
Active Trade Days
An Active Trade Day currently requires at least $200 in realized profit and at least 23% of the trader’s best Active Trade Day profit. The minimum is $100 for certain accounts, including the 10K 1-Step, 25K 1-Step, 25K EOD, and 100K Static Elite accounts.

For 1-Step accounts purchased on or after July 6, 2026, ETF’s published table sets a $250 minimum withdrawal. Accounts purchased from July 6 through July 27, 2026 received a temporary faster Active Trade Day schedule of 5, 5, 3, and 2 days for payout cycles 1–4. These dates and requirements are account-specific; check the Trader Dashboard for the rules that apply to your purchase.
These ranges are not a promise that the full amount will be approved. The account dashboard controls the requirements for a particular purchase, especially when promotions or purchase dates affect the Active Trade Day schedule. The widely repeated claim that a trader can always withdraw $100 is not correct for all newer 1-Step accounts; current accounts may have a $250 minimum.
What the 48-hour payout guarantee means
ETF’s 48-Hour Payout Guarantee does not mean the funds will arrive in your bank account within 48 hours.

Weekends, U.S. bank and federal holidays, system outages, KYC or Rise verification issues, and certain third-party delays can be excluded. If the deadline is missed, ETF says it may pay an additional $1,000 or add $1,000 to an eligible LIVE ELITE account.
Normal processing is separate from bank settlement:
- Approval reviews generally occur Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. Eastern, excluding holidays.
- Sim-funded payouts are processed Mondays and Wednesdays.
- LIVE ELITE payouts are processed daily.
- Requests after the relevant Friday or Tuesday 5 p.m. cutoff may move to the next batch.
How to request a payout
- Open the Trader Dashboard.
- Select Request a payout.
- Wait for the audit and approval email.
- Complete KYC if requested.
- Follow ETF’s instructions to create or access a Rise account.
- Add a bank account, crypto wallet, or exchange account in Rise.
- Withdraw the available balance from Rise.
ETF advises traders not to create a Rise account independently before requesting a payout. Payment accounts should be in the trader’s own name. For cryptocurrency, the wallet must support the exact network selected in Rise.
Why payouts can be disputed
The largest risk is not simply failing a profit target. ETF’s current Terms give it broad authority to review trade frequency, profit distribution, position sizing, and whether activity appears designed to manipulate or distort payout eligibility. The Terms state that the firm’s determinations are final and binding under the agreement.

The Terms specifically warn against:
- Dramatically switching from Mini contracts to Micro contracts over several days.
- Using oversized single trades.
- Flipping contracts sporadically just to create Active Trade Days.
- Using inconsistent position sizes.
- Trading in a way ETF believes could not be scaled or replicated in live markets.
This means a trader can follow the visible drawdown rules and still face a payout review based on trading style. Anyone buying an account should save the applicable Terms and plan rules on the purchase date.
Other rules that can cost you an account
Self-hedging and correlated instruments
ETF prohibits opening opposite positions in the same or correlated instruments across accounts. Its example identifies NQ and MNQ as correlated. A violation can lead to suspension, termination, and voiding of accrued gains. ETF’s current correlated-instrument list took effect July 10, 2026, and treats same-underlying size variants such as E-mini and Micro contracts as substantially similar.
Household accounts
People living in the same household—including relatives or roommates sharing an address—cannot maintain separate ETF accounts under the current policy. ETF may terminate linked accounts and forfeit associated funds.
Trading for another person
Trading another user’s account is prohibited, whether done remotely or from the same household.
Recommended Free Tools
Automation and trade copiers
AI tools, bots, EAs, algorithms, and other automated tools require written authorization. ETF lists approved copier options including Tradesyncer, Tradecopia, Affordable Indicators’ Duplicate Account Actions, Replikanto Flowbot in Compliance Edition, and native platform copying functions. “All copiers are banned” is too broad, but using an unapproved tool remains a rules risk.
Weekly activity
ETF requires at least one trade per week on an active Elite Sim-Funded account. Missing a week can result in closure and voided payouts, including on Diamond Hands accounts.
Losses after 20% growth
After an Elite Sim-Funded account reaches 20% profit, ETF applies an additional loss-limit rule. If losses exceed 35% of total accumulated profit after that point, ETF may remove the account from the program and disqualify the trader from LIVE ELITE.
Non-productive trading
ETF may review or close accounts showing a prolonged pattern of scratch days, minimal progress, or limited meaningful engagement. The policy is based on overall account history rather than necessarily one isolated session.
Fees, renewals, and resets
Current 1-Step, EOD, and Static evaluation documentation describes 30-day subscription renewals. Passing does not necessarily stop billing: for evaluations qualified on or after October 1, 2024, ETF says billing can continue to preserve account validity for activation.
To cancel an evaluation, use Trader Dashboard → locate the account → vertical three dots → Cancel Account. ETF says cancellation is final, cannot be renewed or reset, and does not refund unused time. Fast Track accounts do not use a monthly subscription.
Rank #4
ETF currently lists an $87 monthly activation fee for Elite Sim-Funded accounts and one-time activation fees starting at $177 for eligible products and sizes. Reset examples include:
| Account | Example reset fee |
|---|---|
| 1-Step 50K | $147 |
| 1-Step 100K | $187 |
| 1-Step 150K | $257 |
| 1-Step 250K | $437 |
| Static 25K | $217 |
| EOD 50K | $317 |
| DTF 25K | $247 |
Elite Sim-Funded and DTF accounts can generally be reset up to ten times, subject to eligibility and status. Prices can change, and resets are final with no refunds.

ETF’s general Refund Policy says all sales are final, with no returns, refunds, exchanges, or credits except under a conditional satisfaction guarantee. Separately, a promotional page advertises a first-purchase guarantee that may allow a new buyer to swap an account, receive a refund, or obtain in-house credit within seven days, subject to conditions such as being a new customer and having fewer than five trades.

ETF lists support for Tradovate, TradingView, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, ATAS, Bookmap, EdgeProX, eSignal, Finamark, Investor/RT, MotiveWave, Quantower, and Sierra Chart. Platform subscriptions are generally the trader’s responsibility.
ETF also says new accounts selecting a Rithmic data feed from January 28, 2026 incur a separate monthly connection cost per active Rithmic account because of CME-related data-feed changes.

What public reviews and complaints show
Public feedback is mixed. Trustpilot’s latest available crawl shows a 3.8 TrustScore from 1,122 reviews. Reviews include successful payout reports and positive support experiences, alongside complaints about denied later payouts, early LIVE ELITE transitions, and account closures after rule disputes. These are customer reports, not independently verified findings.
The Better Business Bureau lists three complaints in the past three years, categorized as billing issues and displayed as unanswered. The complaints include allegations involving account termination and a payout dispute concerning approximately $15,664.71 in claimed profits. BBB cautions that it does not verify the accuracy of third-party complaints, and ETF is not BBB accredited.
This evidence does not prove fraud. It does show that payout eligibility, account closure, and rule interpretation have generated customer disputes.

Best Value
- Understand simulated trading and do not confuse account size with personal capital.
- Use consistent position sizing and avoid aggressive scaling.
- Can manage trailing and unrealized-profit drawdowns.
- Trade only approved platforms, copiers, and automation tools.
- Keep detailed records of the rules applying to each account.
- Can afford evaluation, activation, renewal, and reset fees as money that may be lost.
It is a poor fit if you need unconditional payouts, frequently hedge across accounts, trade for household members, hold positions overnight without selecting a compatible plan, or depend on sporadic high-risk trades to pass.
How to reduce the financial risk before buying
- Read the Terms and plan page on the purchase date. Account limits, payout minimums, and promotional rules can change.
- Calculate the real cost. Include renewals, activation, resets, platform fees, data-feed charges, and payment-processing delays.
- Model the drawdown. Use the actual liquidation threshold, including the effect of unrealized gains on a trailing account.
- Assume a payout audit. Use repeatable sizing and avoid trades that appear designed only to satisfy a day-count rule.
- Keep evidence. Save checkout terms, policy versions, dashboard screenshots, trade records, and payout correspondence.
- Do not scale up immediately. First verify that your strategy can meet the rules without relying on one unusually large winning day.
FAQ
Is Elite Trader Funding a scam?
There is no verified basis in the supplied public evidence to label ETF an outright scam. It operates published futures-prop programs and has documented payout reports. However, its accounts are generally simulated, and its Terms give it broad discretion over audits, account closures, payout eligibility, and LIVE ELITE transitions.
Does Elite Trader Funding use real money?
Most traders begin in simulated evaluations or Elite Sim-Funded accounts. ETF separately describes LIVE ELITE as its real-capital stage. An advertised $50,000 or $100,000 account is not cash held in the trader’s personal brokerage account.
How much can I withdraw from ETF?
The amount depends on the plan, purchase date, payout cycle, safety net, Active Trade Days, and audit. Current 1-Step examples range from $250 to $1,750 per cycle on a $50,000 account. Accounts purchased July 6–27, 2026 also had a temporary 5/5/3/2 Active Trade Day schedule. The commonly cited $25,000 figure is generally a cumulative per-trader limit before LIVE ELITE, not a guaranteed single withdrawal.
Does ETF guarantee payouts within 48 hours?
ETF’s guarantee concerns approving an eligible payout or initiating a LIVE ELITE transition within 48 business hours. It does not guarantee bank or crypto settlement within that time. KYC, Rise verification, holidays, outages, and certain third-party delays can affect the process.
Can two people in the same household have ETF accounts?
ETF’s current policy says people sharing a household, including family members and roommates, cannot maintain separate ETF accounts. The firm may terminate linked accounts and forfeit associated funds.
Are trade copiers allowed at Elite Trader Funding?
Some are allowed, but ETF requires approved tools or written authorization. It lists several permitted copier options and native platform functions. Using an unapproved copier, bot, EA, or algorithm can create a compliance and payout risk.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Elite Trader Funding looks like a real, operating prop-trading business—not proven fraud—but its products carry substantial contractual and financial risk. The key question is not simply whether you can pass the evaluation. It is whether you can trade consistently under ETF’s drawdown, Active Trade Day, correlated-instrument, weekly-activity, audit, and payout rules.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUse ETF only if you understand that fees are at risk, profits are not automatically payable, and simulated account balances are not personal brokerage cash. Read the current dashboard rules and Terms before every purchase, because older reviews and account-limit claims may no longer apply.
