Porsche delivered 45,367 all-electric Macans worldwide in fiscal 2025, compared with 38,961 combustion-engine Macans—a lead of 6,406. The result confirms the “on pace” prediction, but it describes global customer deliveries, not U.S.-only sales or a direct measure of buyer preference.
How the electric and combustion Macans compared
Porsche AG reported 84,328 Macan deliveries worldwide for fiscal 2025, making it the company’s highest-volume model line that year. The figures count vehicles handed over to end customers, which Porsche distinguishes from unit sales.
| Period | All-electric Macan deliveries | Combustion-engine Macan deliveries | Electric lead |
|---|---|---|---|
| January–June 2025 | 25,884 | 19,253 | 6,631 |
| January–September 2025 | 36,250 | 28,533 | 7,717 |
| Full year 2025 | 45,367 | 38,961 | 6,406 |

When did the electric Macan move ahead?
The electric version was already ahead in the first half of 2025, with 25,884 deliveries against 19,253 combustion Macans. By the end of September, its lead had grown to 7,717. The full-year gap was smaller, at 6,406, so the interim figures should not be read as a continuously widening lead through December.

Porsche reported 64,783 deliveries for the entire Macan line in the first nine months, up 18% year over year. That growth rate applies to the model line as a whole; it is not an electric-versus-combustion growth comparison.
What the global result does—and does not—say about the U.S.
This is a global comparison from Porsche AG. Porsche Cars North America separately reported 27,139 Macans sold in the United States during 2025, but its release did not provide a powertrain breakdown. That U.S. total therefore cannot establish whether electric or combustion Macans sold better in the country. See Porsche Cars North America’s 2025 U.S. sales release.

Why availability matters when interpreting the split
The two versions were not necessarily available under the same conditions everywhere. Porsche said combustion-engine Macans continued to be offered in most countries outside the European Union. Its annual report also cited supply shortages for combustion Macan models in Europe, due in part to cybersecurity regulations.
Those qualifications matter: delivery totals show how many vehicles reached customers, but they do not isolate the effect of demand from supply, product availability, or regional differences. The reported lead alone does not show why customers chose one powertrain over another.

What the result means for Macan shoppers
The 2025 figures answer a narrow question about global deliveries, not which version is the better financial choice for an individual buyer. The electric and combustion Macans can involve different purchase prices, energy or fuel costs, charging access, and ownership needs; the figures here do not compare those costs.
For U.S. owners of a Macan Electric, Porsche’s NACS DC Adapter guidance is specific: Porsche says the adapter applies to Macan Electric model years 2024 onward, is intended for NACS DC fast-charging stations, and should not be used for AC charging. Porsche also says most roaming-partner stations use CCS DC chargers, which do not require the adapter. Check current model-year and regional guidance on Porsche’s U.S. NACS DC Adapter support page before relying on compatibility details.
