How to check a listing before buying
Do not rely on a past deal headline to identify the right product or its current cost. Before placing an order, check the listing itself:
#1 Best Overall
- Collaborating with George R.R. Martin to create the ELDEN RING mythos has been a genuinely delightful experience and a source of wonderful inspiration. The team is working hard to ensure that the world of ELDEN RING will be a fascinating place for players to explore, filled with peril and wonder from its furthest reaches to its lowest depths. This is a FromSoftware title through and through, rich in fantasy and RPG action. We sincerely hope you look forward to it.
- Building the world of ELDEN RING with Miyazaki-san and his team was a treat! The graphics, mythos, and action-RPG gameplay will deliver an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for people to see what ELDEN RING has in store for them.” Said George R.R. Martin.
- Confirm the platform. Match the product to your console or PC. Bandai Namco’s official shop offers platform choices for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC; PlayStation’s U.S. product page covers PS4 and PS5.
- Check the edition and included content. The Standard Edition is not the same as the Shadow of the Erdtree Edition. Bandai Namco describes the latter as including both the base game and expansion. PlayStation also lists bundles with digital artbook and soundtrack content, as well as the expansion separately.
- Verify format, seller, and checkout price. Confirm whether the offer is physical or digital, who is selling it, and whether the displayed price is still available at checkout. The historical GameSpot passage does not establish the Amazon listing’s format or current status.
For the available product distinctions, see PlayStation’s U.S. Elden Ring page and Bandai Namco’s Elden Ring shop page.

Black Friday 2024 included broader game promotions, but that does not prove every participating retailer carried the same Elden Ring price. PlayStation’s November 20 announcement described promotions at participating retailers and advised shoppers to check local details; it did not confirm that every retailer offered this game at $20. See PlayStation’s Black Friday 2024 announcement.

- Elden Ring: Nightreign - Seekers Edition /PS5
Xbox Wire’s November 15 announcement covered a broad game sale, but the examined announcement does not establish an Elden Ring-specific Xbox Store price. The game-specific $20 figure cited here is from GameSpot’s Amazon-linked report. See Xbox Wire’s 2024 Black Friday announcement.
Bandai Namco also announced a separate 34% promotion in October 2023, with platform-specific dates. That older sale is not evidence about the 2024 Black Friday offer. Read Bandai Namco’s 2023 sale announcement.
