Launch coverage listed a £2,995 price and an estimated 40–60-mile range; that range is a claim, not an independently measured result, and current stock and pricing have not been confirmed.
What is the Jordan e-bike?
The Jordan is a commuter e-bike range developed by Eddie Jordan and D&D Electric. The December 8, 2023 launch report described two frame options: a conventional step-over and a lowered top tube intended to make mounting easier. The launch was reported by New Atlas and independently covered by road.cc.
At launch, New Atlas described an aluminum frame, a 250 W rear hub motor, 45 Nm of torque, pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, and a removable 460 Wh downtube battery. It also listed Shimano eight-speed gearing, mechanical disc brakes, 700 × 45c tires, lights, fenders and a kickstand, with a reported weight of about 24 kg. These are details from the 2023 launch account, not a current inspection of a particular model.
What range and performance were claimed?
The launch report and D&D Electric’s product page state an estimated range of 40–60 miles (about 64–96.5 km). Neither source establishes that as a controlled or independently verified result. Real-world distance on an e-bike varies with factors such as rider and cargo weight, terrain, assistance level, weather and battery condition; the published estimate should not be treated as a guaranteed distance.

The 250 W motor and 25 km/h assistance limit are the figures reported by New Atlas for the launch model. The 460 Wh battery capacity is reported there and also appears on the vendor listing. These figures describe stated equipment, not a measured range test.
How much did it cost, and can you still buy one?
The reported launch price was £2,995 in December 2023. D&D Electric’s Jordan E-Bike listing also shows £2,995, but a listed price alone does not confirm current stock, checkout availability or delivery terms. Check the seller’s page directly before budgeting or placing an order; the available launch and storefront reporting does not establish present availability.
The bike was presented as a commuter model, with lights, fenders and a kickstand among the equipment described in launch coverage. Before comparing its price with another e-bike, confirm the exact specification being sold, frame option, warranty, service support and delivery cost. The launch and vendor descriptions do not give a single fully consistent component list.
Why do the listed component specifications differ?
New Atlas’s 2023 launch account describes Shimano eight-speed gearing and mechanical disc brakes. D&D Electric’s product page lists some different components, including hydraulic brakes and a 10-speed groupset. Those accounts should not be blended into one definitive specification. If the details matter to a purchase, ask D&D Electric to confirm the components fitted to the particular bike and frame option being offered.

Does a share of sales go to charity?
D&D Electric says on its product page that the Amber Foundation receives a 12.5% royalty for each Eddie Jordan e-bike sold through D&D Electric. That is the company’s stated arrangement for sales through its own channel; the available sources do not establish that the same share applies to sales through other retailers.
What should a buyer verify before comparing it with other commuter e-bikes?
The launch information provides useful headline figures, but it is not a comparative test. For a like-for-like decision, check:
- Whether the step-over or lowered-top-tube frame suits the rider.
- The motor output and assistance cutoff on the exact model offered.
- Battery capacity and whether any range figure is an estimate or a measured result under stated conditions.
- Actual bike weight, gearing, brakes and included commuter equipment.
- Current price, stock, delivery, warranty and local service arrangements.
New Atlas attributed this launch statement to Jordan: “The ‘Jordan’ ebike represents the culmination of a lifelong passion for speed and innovation,” and also quoted him saying he was thrilled to partner with D&D Electric. These are promotional launch comments, not independent evaluations of ride quality or durability.
