The Ed Force One Aviationtag keychain is a collectible cut from the original skin of Iron Maiden’s Boeing 747-400—not a usable aircraft part. Aviationtag’s two listed designs, a white edition and one with exposed rivet holes, are currently marked sold out. Launch coverage reported 12,000 tags at €66.66, but that launch figure does not establish today’s stock or resale value.
What is actually for sale?
Aviationtag turns aircraft skin into small wearable souvenirs classified as keychains. Its Ed Force One tag comes from Boeing 747-400 MSN 32868, registration TF-AAK, the aircraft Iron Maiden used during its 2016 The Book of Souls world tour. The pieces are made in Aviationtag’s Cologne workshop from the aircraft’s outer skin; they are not engines, replacement parts, or certified for aviation use. Aviationtag’s Ed Force One product listings describe the item and its provenance.
The white edition measures 35 × 88 mm according to Aviationtag. Its listing says each tag includes Ed Force One and Eddie branding and a booklet containing an interview with Bruce Dickinson. Dickinson described the object in the launch video as “a very small piece of a Boeing 747” that had been “turned into something entirely more useful,” as quoted by Louder/Classic Rock.
Which designs are listed, and what do they cost?
The two Aviationtag product pages show different finishes and listed prices. These are page states checked for this article, not guaranteed current prices or resale-market values; both were marked sold out.

The distinction is the tag’s appearance, not a different aircraft: both versions use material from TF-AAK. The rivet-hole design’s variation means individual pieces may not look identical.
Is it available now, and what does the launch price tell you?
Both official listings reviewed here show “Sold Out.” Louder/Classic Rock reported on 20 March 2025 that the launch run was 12,000 tags and gave €66.66 as the launch price. That report also said readers could sign up for stock notifications. The current listing states do not establish a restock date, and neither the reported run size nor original price tells you what a resale listing is worth.

If you are considering a secondhand offer, treat the official product pages as provenance and design references, not as a valuation guide. Confirm that a seller identifies the product as an Aviationtag made from TF-AAK skin, and distinguish an asking price from a completed sale price. The available sources do not establish current resale prices.

Aviationtag’s product history says the 747 was delivered to Air France in March 2003 as F-GITH, transferred to Air Atlanta Icelandic in 2015 as TF-AAK, and then used by Iron Maiden on its 2016 tour. Aviationtag says it later flew for Saudi Arabian Airlines, was retired in 2022, and decommissioned in 2024. Louder/Classic Rock reported that the aircraft was scrapped at Cotswold Airport in Kemble, Gloucestershire, before Aviationtag launched the tags.

The plane’s 2016 Chile incident is a separate story from this souvenir sale. Iron Maiden’s official account of the repair said the aircraft was leased from Air Atlanta and required replacement of both port-side engines after the accident. The band reported that each engine weighed 5,000 kg and cost around US$4 million. Those figures belong to the 2016 repair account; they do not describe the tags or establish the aircraft skin’s present value.
How does it compare with the Revell Ed Force One model?
For a related collectible that does not use material from the actual aircraft, Revell lists a licensed 1:144 Boeing 747-400 Ed Force One plastic model kit with 85 parts.
