Where is the EB Games concept store in Montreal?
The store is at Cours Mont-Royal, 1455 Peel Street, Montreal. The retailer announced the location on October 14, 2025, describing it as its first new EB Games store since Quebec entrepreneur Stephan Tétreault acquired GameStop Canada in June 2025. Les Cours Mont-Royal currently lists the store as open and calls it the largest EB Games in Canada; that size description is the venue’s claim, and it does not provide a measurement or comparison data.

When did it open?
The planned public opening was Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. EB Games’ announcement described special activations, gifts for early arrivals and launch-day offers. MobileSyrup reported that the first 100 customers would receive gifts with purchases, and that the opening included raffles for exclusive prizes and showcases for Nintendo, Pokémon and Bandai Namco.
What can visitors find there?
EB Games presented the store as a destination for gamers, collectors and pop-culture fans, with video games, trading cards, collectibles and accessories. The concept also includes EBX, an in-store event hub intended for partner-brand activations, live demonstrations, mini-events and first-to-market launches. Nintendo and Pokémon were named as partners. The mall’s current listing continues to describe hands-on game demos and live activations featuring both brands.

Does the Montreal store buy and sell trading cards?
MobileSyrup reported in October 2025 that the Montreal flagship debuted an EB Games Canada trading-card game trade-in program, allowing customers to buy and sell singles from various card games. The report said the company planned to expand the program to other Canadian stores. Current eligibility, participating locations, card valuations and other program terms are not established by the available published information, so check directly with EB Games before bringing cards in.
Is this the same as EB Games’ 2026 Nintendo announcement?
No. EB Games announced a Nintendo space at its Toronto flagship, scheduled to open October 17, 2026. That is a separate event at a different location; it does not change the Montreal store’s October 16, 2025 opening date.

What EB Games said about the concept
In the October 14, 2025 announcement, owner and CEO Stephan Tétreault said: “This new location was born from the desire to bring back a beloved brand and a unique in-store experience.” The same release said EB Games had more than 185 stores across Canada at that time; that is the retailer’s 2025 figure, not a verified current store count.
