No—the DVC Executive Trainee application deadline described in this notice was July 7, 2024, so it is not open today. The recruitment was reported as using GATE-2023 scores. Check Damodar Valley Corporation’s official recruitment listing for any current opening, and do not rely on an old application link.
What happened to the DVC Executive Trainee application?
Reporting on this recruitment said applications closed on July 7, 2024. That date is historical, not a deadline in effect now. The notice was associated with GATE-2023 scores, but the exact official notice for this cohort could not be confirmed from the available official records.
Is the 176-vacancy figure confirmed?
The figure of 176 appears in the headline and matching secondary coverage, but it has not been independently verified against the official notice for this specific recruitment. An indexed DVC advertisement available for review appears to concern a different batch; its vacancies, eligibility criteria and pay should not be applied to this cohort.
Where to check for a current DVC recruitment notice
Use DVC’s official website and navigate to its recruitment information: DVC recruitment notices. The listing’s availability can change, so confirm that a notice is live and read the notice itself before applying. Check its accepted GATE paper and year, discipline, category-wise vacancies, eligibility and age cutoffs, selection stages, fee, deadline and pay; these details are specific to each recruitment cycle.

How to avoid recruitment scams
DVC warns jobseekers about fake appointment offers and unauthorized demands for money. Rely on official DVC channels, and pay a fee only if the relevant official advertisement specifies one. Do not treat an old third-party application link or an offer received by email as proof of a current vacancy.
