DSSSB issued Advertisement No. 07/2024 on 12 March 2024. The online application window opened at noon on 20 March and closed at 11:00 PM on 18 April 2024. The notice said, “Only online applications will be accepted”; applications by post, in person, email or another offline method were not accepted. After the closing time, the application link would be disabled. These dates are historical, not an open application window.

How did eligibility differ by post?
Eligibility was not interchangeable across these jobs. The notice required Indian citizenship and post-specific age, education and experience qualifications. Qualifications, age and experience were assessed as of 18 April 2024, and candidates were directed to verify the applicable user-department recruitment rules for their chosen post. The information above gives the supported details for Book Binder and DEO Grade-A; it does not establish the full criteria for the other three posts.

For a complete eligibility check, consult Advertisement No. 07/2024 and the relevant recruitment rules, paying attention to the post code, age limit and relaxations, required education and experience, and any skill test or other selection requirement. Do not infer another post’s criteria from the DEO or Book Binder requirements.
What was the application fee?
The advertised fee was ₹100, payable through SBI e-pay, and fees once paid were non-refundable. The notice exempted women, SC, ST and PwBD candidates, as well as eligible Ex-Servicemen. An Ex-Serviceman who had already secured regular civil employment after using the reservation benefit was subject to a qualification on the exemption. The precise exemption terms are governed by the official notice.

How did the application and selection process work?
Candidates were required to register on the DSSSB OARS portal and submit the relevant application online. DSSSB and the District & Sessions Courts were to conduct examinations; examination or interview dates were to be communicated through official websites. The notice advised candidates to monitor those sites for updates.

The homepage includes later recruitment activity and a result notice for Chowkidar post code 76/24; that single listing does not establish the status of every post in Advertisement No. 07/2024. A contemporaneous Scroll.in report published on 18 April 2024 explains why the headline called that day the last date, but the official DSSSB notice is the authority for application terms.
