DSSSB Advertisement No. 07/2024 advertised 40 tentative Group C vacancies for Delhi District & Sessions Courts, including two Data Entry Operator Grade-A posts and 13 Chowkidar posts. Applications opened on 20 March 2024 and closed on 18 April 2024, so this recruitment is no longer open. The figures and rules below are those in the DSSSB notice dated 12 March 2024.
Which posts were advertised, and how many vacancies?
The 40 vacancies were spread across five posts. DSSSB described the counts as tentative, based on information from the departments that requested recruitment; they should not be read as the number of people ultimately hired.
| Post | Post code | Tentative vacancies |
|---|---|---|
| Book Binder | 73/24 | 1 |
| Data Entry Operator Grade-A | 74/24 | 2 |
| Sweeper/Safai Karamchari | 75/24 | 12 |
| Chowkidar | 76/24 | 13 |
| Driver/Staff Car Driver (Grade-II) | 77/24 | 12 |
| Total | 40 |
The notice also distributed vacancies among UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS categories and provided PwBD and Ex-Servicemen figures. The latter were identified as included counts, not additional vacancies; consult the official category table for the post-by-post breakdown.
When did applications open and close?
Online applications opened at 12 noon on 20 March 2024 and closed at 11 PM on 18 April 2024. Both dates have passed. A contemporaneous Scroll.in report dated 14 March 2024 also reported those dates and the advertised roles.

How did the application process work?
DSSSB accepted applications online through its OARS portal. The notice said, “Only online applications will be accepted,” and warned that applications sent by post, delivered by hand or emailed would be rejected. Applicants first had to register; DSSSB described registration as a one-time process, with the resulting credentials used for applications to its examinations. The Board cautioned candidates not to leave submission until the deadline because heavy site traffic could interfere with timely filing.
The notice said examination or interview dates would be communicated on the DSSSB or District & Sessions Courts websites. It does not itself establish an exam date, result or final selection outcome.

Data Entry Operator Grade-A
The stated requirements included 12th standard from a recognized institution or board, or an equivalent qualification; an IT or computer diploma or certificate; knowledge of data entry or computer operation; and at least one year of data-entry operations experience. Graduates and candidates with an ‘O’ Level certificate were given preference. The stated age range was 18–27, subject to applicable relaxations.
Other posts
For Sweeper/Safai Karamchari, Chowkidar and Driver/Staff Car Driver (Grade-II), use the separate qualification, age and experience rules in the official detailed advertisement; the DEO requirements do not apply to them by default. DSSSB specified 18 April 2024 as the cutoff date for age, qualifications and experience for all posts.

What was the application fee?
The fee was ₹100, payable through SBI e-pay, and was non-refundable. Women applicants, SC and ST applicants, PwBD applicants and Ex-Servicemen were exempt. The notice made an exception for Ex-Servicemen who had already obtained regular civil employment with the Central Government, Government of NCT of Delhi, or an autonomous or local body after using Ex-Servicemen reservation benefits.
What is known about the recruitment’s status?
The vacancy notice is historical and does not show the subsequent outcome of each post. Although the DSSSB homepage snapshot includes an amended Chowkidar interview-schedule item, the available information does not identify it sufficiently to confirm that it concerns post code 76/24 in Advertisement No. 07/2024. It also does not establish the status of the other four posts. Do not treat that item as confirmation of this recruitment’s outcome without matching the full notice number and post code on the official site: DSSSB.
