DSSSB Advertisement 05/2024 announced 1,499 vacancies across categories, including 650 for unreserved (UR) candidates. It covered 64 post types, among them Caretaker and Accounts Assistant. Applications opened on March 19, 2024, and closed on April 17, 2024; this recruitment is no longer open for applications.
What the 650 figure means
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board’s official Advertisement 05/2024 lists 650 vacancies in the UR column and 1,499 in the all-category total column. The table also reports category totals for OBC, SC, ST and EWS. Therefore, 650 is not the total number of vacancies in the recruitment.

Application dates and method
The notice set the online application window from March 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. through April 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. The window has closed. At the time, applications had to be submitted through the DSSSB online portal; the notice said applications through other modes would be rejected.

DSSSB stated in Advertisement 05/2024: “The date of conduct of examinations will be intimated in due course only through the website of the Board.” The notice directed candidates to the Board’s website for examination updates. Later schedules or outcomes should be checked against subsequent DSSSB notices; the original advertisement alone does not establish the current status of every post.
Posts and eligibility varied by role
The advertisement covered 64 post types for various departments, local bodies and autonomous bodies under the Government of NCT of Delhi. Caretaker and Accounts Assistant were among the listed roles, but the notice did not set one common eligibility standard for all posts.
Qualifications, required experience, age limits and pay scales depended on the specific post and applicable department recruitment rules. Candidates needed to identify the post code and check its entry in the detailed advertisement before applying. The official advertisement contains the post-wise details.
