Applications for DRDO/RAC Advertisement No. 154 are closed. The 2025 notice invited candidates to apply online for 11 contractual Project Scientist posts at DRDO Hyderabad. It printed a deadline of 1 April 2025 at 4 p.m.; RAC later reported that registration was extended to 3 April 2025 at 4 p.m. Neither date is a current opportunity to apply.

Is the DRDO Project Scientist application still open?

No. Advertisement No. 154 was a 2025 recruitment notice, and its application period has ended. DRDO’s vacancy listing gives the notice dates as 11 March to 1 April 2025. The advertisement itself says the closing date was 1 April 2025 at 1600 hours.

RAC’s official home-page search result reported that the registration closing date, initially stated as 1 April, was extended to 3 April 2025 at 1600 hours. That extension should be attributed to RAC: the DRDO listing and the advertisement PDF continue to show 1 April as the closing date printed in the notice. The differing historical dates do not mean applications are open now.

What Advertisement No. 154 covered

DRDO invited applications for 11 Project Scientist posts on a contractual, tenure-based basis at DRDO Hyderabad. The advertisement described the work as supporting research, design, development, testing and evaluation of systems and products relevant to national defence. The posts were tied to particular disciplines and had role-specific requirements.

Eligibility and post-specific requirements

The advertisement’s eligibility criteria were not one uniform profile for all applicants. Required degree, work experience, age limit and advertised pay depended on the individual post and discipline. Candidates considering a future recruitment should consult the relevant official notice for the exact post rather than carry requirements from one role over to another.

  • The notice stated that only Indian nationals could apply.
  • Age and other eligibility criteria were assessed as of the closing date specified for the recruitment.
  • Qualifications and experience varied by post; the notice is the source for the exact requirement attached to each role.

How applications were submitted in 2025

Applications were submitted online through the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC). The notice instructed candidates to register and submit a separate application for each post they wished to apply for. Those instructions describe the closed 2025 recruitment and are not a way to submit an application now.

What to check before applying to a future DRDO notice

  • Confirm that the notice is current and that its application window has not closed.
  • Match your degree, discipline and experience to the specific post, not just the Project Scientist title.
  • Check the nationality, age and other eligibility conditions in the official advertisement, including the date on which eligibility is assessed.
  • Follow the application method and any per-post submission instructions in that notice.
