Is Dr. YSR AFU recruitment open now?
The official recruitment notices opened for this recruitment round were dated 30 October 2023. They set an online application deadline of 20 November 2023 at 5 pm IST and a hard-copy submission deadline of 27 November 2023 at 5 pm IST. Both dates have passed. The university’s notification index also lists a separate temporary architecture recruitment notice with a last date of 17 January 2026, which has passed as well.
The checked documents do not establish a currently open recruitment round. The official notification index is the place to look for a later notice, revised deadline or corrigendum. Do not assume that an older application link remains active.

The number 133 is not supported by the available notices. The official university notices directly document 16 Professor posts and one Librarian post in Notification No. 3, 2023, and 81 Assistant Professor posts plus two academic non-vacation posts in Notification No. 1, 2023.

A contemporaneous report by Scroll, published 15 November 2023, described the overall drive as 138 positions: 16 Professors, one Librarian, 36 Associate Professors, two deputy-level academic non-vacation posts, 81 Assistant Professors, one Assistant Librarian and one Assistant Director. The official notification index links separate associate-professor and professor notices. These figures have different levels of direct documentation: the opened primary notices establish 100 posts across the categories they cover, while the 138 total and its full breakdown come from Scroll’s secondary report. The available information does not explain the discrepancy with 133.

Eligibility varied by cadre and subject
There was no single eligibility rule for all positions. The assistant-professor notice set requirements by discipline: architecture examples included relevant degrees and work experience; technical subjects had their own degree requirements; and English required a master’s degree with NET/SET or a specified PhD route. The professor notice called for senior academic or professional experience and field-specific publication and research-score qualifications. Candidates would need to consult the detailed notice for the exact post and subject rather than apply a general rule across the university.

The notices gave Assistant Professor Level 10 a pay-matrix range of ₹57,700–₹1,82,400 and Professor Level 14 a range of ₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200. These are notified pay ranges, not estimates of take-home salary or a guarantee of appointment. The figures cited here do not establish pay for every cadre in the drive.
