Check each company’s investor-relations schedule for its reporting date and results. To compare the three companies meaningfully, use the same reporting period and keep these separate:
- Reported results: what the company says it earned or generated for the period.
- Guidance: the company’s outlook, if provided.
- Market expectations: estimates from a dated, clearly identified financial calendar or analyst-consensus source.
A confirmed report date is not itself a result, and neither a company’s guidance nor analyst expectations should be presented as reported performance.
