A December 2022 report says Don Henley bought a California home described as “green” for his son for $4.3 million. The report attributes the property details to Dirt.com, but the original Dirt.com story and a primary transaction record were not available to confirm the purchase independently.
What the report says about the purchase
Taste of Country reported on December 17, 2022, that Henley bought the home for his 24-year-old son. It put the purchase price at $4.3 million and attributed its real-estate details to Dirt.com. The report spells the son’s name two different ways—“Will Henley” and “Will Henry”—so the correct spelling is not established by that article. Read the Taste of Country report.
No confirmed address or primary property record is provided in that report. The price, buyer, intended recipient, and property features should therefore be understood as reported claims, not independently verified transaction facts.
Reported details of the California home
The article describes a 3,554-square-foot house built in 1950 and designed by architect Thane Roberts. It lists four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. These details, like the purchase price, come from the secondary report.

The $4.3 million figure is the purchase price reported by Taste of Country in 2022, with the story attributed to Dirt.com. The available source does not establish a confirmed sale record, the property’s address, or the basis for the reported price. It also does not show that solar panels, the roof, landscaping, or charger were responsible for any particular share of the price.
