Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Kids Sail Free” promotion is a fare offer for the third and fourth guests on select sailings—not a blanket offer for every child or cruise. Guests 1 and 2 must pay full fare, and guests 3 and 4 must share their stateroom. NCL’s official U.S. terms currently list a separate 50% off all cruises booking window for October 6–16, 2026; check the live price and terms for your sailing before booking.
What NCL’s “Kids Sail Free” offer means
NCL’s current promotion terms call the offer “3rd & 4th Guest Free (Kids Sail Free).” The name can be misleading if read literally: eligibility is based on a traveler’s position in the booking and the sailing, not simply on whether the traveler is a child.
- Guests 1 and 2 in the stateroom must pay full fare.
- Guests 3 and 4 may qualify for the offer while sharing that stateroom.
- The promotion applies only to select sailings. Guests 5–8 pay prevailing fares.
- Studio and Solo categories are excluded.
NCL says eligible sailings can change without notice. Confirm that the specific departure and guest arrangement qualify rather than assuming a third or fourth traveler will sail free. Read NCL’s current promotion terms.
What other deal is listed now?
As of October 8, 2026, NCL’s official U.S. terms list a 50% off all cruises booking window running October 6–16, 2026. That is a booking-period offer, not a guarantee of a particular fare, sailing inventory, or combination with “Kids Sail Free.” Check the terms attached to the cruise you select. How to check whether a cruise is a good deal
- Choose the exact sailing and cabin. Compare the same dates, cabin category, and number of travelers; a promotion may be limited to particular departures.
- Check guest eligibility. Confirm guests 1 and 2 are priced at full fare and that guests 3 and 4 sharing the stateroom receive the advertised treatment.
- Compare the full quoted price. Look at the total for your actual party and cabin, along with costs not covered by the stated promotion. Do not rely on a headline discount alone.
- Review the current terms and offer combinations. Promotions may change, and the listed 50% offer should not be assumed to combine with another deal unless the applicable terms say so.
- Recheck before booking. Availability and displayed fares can change, so use the live quote and terms at the time you are ready to purchase.
NCL cautions that quoted fares and displayed savings vary with seasonality, booking timing, demand, availability, and capacity management. The company also says its original-rate prices may not have been available in the past 90 days. These are reasons to judge the actual total for your trip—not a percentage or comparison price in isolation.

A November 2025 Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Black Friday press release described that historical campaign as covering over 650 select NCL sailings. It is not a current count of eligible departures. The release also quoted then-president and chief executive officer Harry Sommer: “With 50% off all cruises, now is the best time to plan your 2026 family vacation,” the November 2025 announcement. Neither the past campaign figure nor its quote establishes today’s eligibility or price.
