What the product is—and what “retinol” means here
The product is Dove Pro-Retinol + Firming Cream Serum, an 8-ounce, all-over body serum. Dove says it is lightweight, fast-absorbing, non-greasy, and intended for daily use in place of body lotion.
Dove’s US ingredient list includes retinyl propionate, along with ingredients such as glycerin, dimethicone, niacinamide, and petrolatum. The page does not disclose the retinyl propionate concentration, so the product cannot be compared by a stated retinoid percentage or quantified retinol dose.
What Dove says it does for crepey skin
On its US Cream Serums collection page, Dove reports that after two days, 95% agreed their skin felt firmer, 91% agreed elasticity improved, 95% agreed crepiness improved, and 96% agreed skin was more radiant. These are Dove’s consumer-agreement figures, not independently verified clinical outcomes. The consulted page does not provide detailed study design, controls, endpoint definitions, or the product-specific sample size.

H-E-B listed the 8-ounce serum at $9.99 when accessed. The retailer notes that in-store, curbside, and delivery prices may differ, so $9 is best understood as an approximate headline price rather than a guaranteed nationwide price. Check the listing or local store for the amount you would actually pay.

Use and retinoid considerations
Use the product according to its current label. Dove describes its Cream Serums as daily body-lotion replacements; that is the brand’s product direction, not a custom treatment plan.
The American Academy of Dermatology says retinol is a type of retinoid commonly used for uneven tone, pigmentation, and texture, and may help mild fine lines and wrinkles. General retinoid guidance is not a product-specific assessment of this serum. AAD notes that irritation can occur, people with dry skin may not be good candidates, and gradual use and sun protection can help manage risk. Dove’s launch release identifies board-certified dermatologist Dr. Elyse Love as a co-creator of the Cream Serum range.
