Disney+ is raising U.S. prices again. The ad-supported standalone plan goes up 50 cents to $12.49 a month, while Disney+ Premium rises $2.50 to $21.49 a month. Existing subscribers will see the new rates in billing periods beginning on or after October 21, 2026; new subscriptions are charged the updated prices starting September 23.
How much will Disney+ cost?
Disney’s U.S. pricing guidance lists these standalone rates, with new prices for new subscriptions beginning September 23, 2026. Annual pricing is listed for Premium only in the cited guidance.

When does the increase take effect?
New subscriptions are subject to the updated prices as of September 23, 2026. If you were already subscribed before that date, Disney says the new rate will appear in a billing period on or after October 21, 2026. Your specific charge date depends on your billing cycle and, if applicable, the company that bills you. Check your account’s subscription or billing details before your next renewal.

Which Disney bundles are changing?
The price changes differ by bundle. CBS News’ September 23, 2026 report lists the following U.S. monthly prices:

Disney’s current bundle page also lists Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max for $21.99 a month with ads or $34.99 a month without ads. Those are listed prices, not a reported before-and-after increase. What “Premium” does—and does not—mean
For the listed Disney+/Hulu bundles, Premium means an ad-free experience on Disney+ and Hulu. It does not mean every service or every program in a bundle is ad-free: ESPN bundle listings still specify ESPN with ads, and Disney notes that ads may appear in select live and linear content. Check the plan details for the specific bundle rather than treating “Premium” as an across-the-board ad-free promise.
How to decide whether to switch
Compare the actual cost and content you use, not just the bundle’s advertised savings. Disney’s comparison is against buying all included services separately at their regular standalone monthly prices; that may not represent a saving for someone who would not subscribe to every service in the first place.

- Check your renewal amount and date. Review the billing source as well as your Disney account if another company handles payment.
- Compare monthly and annual spending. Premium’s annual price is $214.99, but an annual commitment only makes sense if you expect to use the service long enough to justify it.
- Match the bundle to your viewing. Consider whether you actually use Hulu, ESPN Select or Unlimited, and HBO Max.
- Factor in ads and content exceptions. Confirm which included services are ad-free and remember that live or linear programming may still include ads.
