Use this checklist to prepare your entry, then verify every requirement on the official rules page for the specific award, category, region, and cycle you plan to enter.
1. Identify the award and submission cycle
Start with the organizer’s current entry page—not a date copied from another competition or an earlier year. Record the award’s official name, geographic edition, cycle, category, deadline and timezone, payment deadline, and last time you may edit a submission.

Dates vary even among current programs. The Horizon Interactive Awards lists December 11, 2026 for its 25th annual competition. The Adobe Experience Maker Awards 2027 lists November 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The MENA Digital Awards lists October 11, 2026, at 18:00 UAE time, with a payment deadline. These dates apply only to those named programs and cycles; do not treat them as general digital-awards deadlines.
The Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh 2026 rules listed May 10, 2026 as the deadline. That date has passed as of October 4, 2026, so consult the organizer for any later cycle rather than relying on the 2026 date.

2. Check eligibility and get permissions
Read the rules for the exact category. Confirm that the work’s launch, publication, campaign, or substantial-update dates fall within its eligible period; that the entrant and project meet geographic and other entry requirements; and that prior entries or wins do not disqualify the work. Check the category definition against the actual deliverable, not just the team’s preferred label.
Eligibility tests differ. Horizon says work must have launched, been published, or been substantially updated in the prior two years, or never have been entered before, subject to its stated exceptions. Adobe’s 2027 rules require new applications, capabilities, implementations, or use cases and describe which products qualify. Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules define a campaign period and restrict re-entry unless the work is a significantly different version. Those are program-specific rules, not interchangeable standards.
Before assembling the entry, establish who can authorize use of the work, results, and materials. Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules require a client, marketing, or brand-head no-objection certificate (NOC). Secure any required approvals or releases and verify credits and attribution with the relevant client or rights holder.
3. Choose the category and shape the case
Choose the category that best represents the project’s primary deliverable and matches the award’s rubric. Horizon advises starting with the competition medium that best represents the primary deliverable. If you enter the same work in multiple categories, tailor the narrative to each category rather than reusing a generic submission; MENA Digital Awards gives the same advice.
A clear case connects the problem to the work and its outcome:
- Challenge and audience: What problem or opportunity did the project address, and for whom?
- Objective and strategy: What did the team aim to change, and why was this approach appropriate?
- Idea and execution: What was made or done, and how did the experience deliver the strategy?
- Results: What changed, over what period, and how does that outcome relate to the objective?
MENA Digital Awards’ published criteria address strategy, creativity and innovation, execution, and results. Its eligibility page says, “Entries must provide quantification/proof of results from a credible source (and seek third party verification of awards winners).” Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules also require the results described in the story to match the supplied insight evidence.
4. Map each claim to evidence and test access
For every important outcome, document the claim, metric, date range, source system, and supporting report or image. Note any third-party verification or approval needed. Check that the entry’s figures and wording agree with the underlying proof; do not imply causation or certainty beyond what the evidence supports.
The right evidence format depends on the award and the project. Requirements may include a public URL, screenshots of work that has ended, a demo, a case-summary board, presentation materials, supporting files, or temporary login details for a gated experience. Check the organizer’s rules for link availability periods, access requirements, file formats, and device compatibility.
Rank #2
- Open links and credentials from a judge-like account, without relying on an employee session or special internal access.
- Test the project on the devices or platforms the organizer specifies, and check that the experience still works as submitted.
- Keep temporary access details available for the period the rules require. Confirm when links may be retired.
- For evidence images or reports, make the relevant result legible and traceable to its source and date range.
5. Package the entry to the organizer’s specifications
Use the current entry form’s required fields, naming conventions, and accepted file types. Include mandatory credits, logos or brand materials, attachments, and any requested case board or audiovisual item. Treat limits as belonging to that program and cycle, not as industry-wide norms.
For example, Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules set a 500-word maximum for the entry description, an 18-slide maximum for the presentation, and a two-minute maximum for the campaign-specific case AV. MENA Digital Awards’ current eligibility page calls for a case-summary board with three representative images, a 200–300-word summary, and references to supporting evidence. These formats and limits are specific to their respective programs.
Also check whether a complete submission requires payment, whether entries are limited by category, and whether edits remain possible after submission. Adobe Experience Maker Awards’ 2027 rules allow one entry per category and a maximum of three categories per company.

Have someone other than the primary writer check the entry against the official rules. Use this audit before clicking submit:
- Award name, region, cycle, and category are correct; deadline, timezone, payment timing, and edit cutoff are recorded.
- Project dates, entrant status, category fit, and prior-entry history satisfy the applicable eligibility rules.
- Entry title, team and client credits, attribution, and required NOC or other permissions are accurate.
- Every material result claim matches its evidence, source, and date range.
- URLs, demos, credentials, and required files open and work as intended.
- Word, slide, video, image, and file requirements are met; required fields and payment are complete.
- Publication, confidentiality, intellectual-property, and display terms have been reviewed by the appropriate rights holder.
Keep a copy of the exact materials submitted, and confirm whether changes are permitted afterward. The Drum Awards’ Marketing EMEA FAQ warns entrants: “Do not use AI to generate false, exaggerated or fictitious results, claims, or case study content.” The same FAQ explains that submitted material may be published or exhibited, so review the organizer’s terms and secure permissions before submitting confidential or third-party material.
How to compare awards before choosing where to enter
If you are deciding among programs, compare the requirements that affect fit and workload rather than choosing by deadline alone.
| Compare | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Geography and entrant rules | Eligible countries or regions, entrant types, and any local requirements. |
| Project eligibility | Eligible launch or campaign dates, substantial-update rules, and restrictions on prior entries or wins. |
| Category and judging | Whether the category fits the primary deliverable and how the work will be assessed. |
| Evidence and access | Required formats, live-link periods, credentials, device compatibility, and proof of results. |
| Timing and administration | Deadline and timezone, payment deadline, fees, entry limits, and whether submissions can be edited. |
| Rights and disclosure | Publication or exhibition terms, intellectual-property provisions, confidentiality, and required approvals. |
Rules can change from one cycle to the next. The official current rules for the target award and category control if a general checklist or another program’s requirements differ.
