The “14-year” duration is the article’s characterization, not an independently verified statistic established by the USPTO docket. The later docket entries show why the apparent endpoint should not be treated as the final outcome.
Which trademark proceeding is at issue?
The USPTO proceeding is Cancellation No. 92075393, filed on October 6, 2020, between Mobigame and Edge Games, Inc. It challenges EDGE GAMES, U.S. Registration No. 5,934,761. What did the parties argue?
A September 9, 2022 USPTO order summarized Mobigame’s pleaded claims, which included prior rights and likelihood of confusion, nonuse, and fraud. Edge Games denied salient allegations and asserted defenses. Did the Edge and Edge Games trademark battle actually end?
Not according to the latest listed posture in the reviewed USPTO docket. The cancellation proceeding produced an order cancelling the registration, followed by reconsideration activity and a July 30, 2026 order reinstating it. Because the docket lists a pending court appeal and does not establish its result, it is not accurate to describe the dispute as definitively over based on that record.
