Not as an officially confirmed base price. In August 2024, MotorTrend reported a leaked dealer-screen price of $68,570 for a configured Dodge Charger Daytona R/T First Edition, while noting it could not verify the screenshot. Dodge later announced official 2024 starting MSRPs of $59,595 for the R/T and $73,190 for the Scat Pack, each before a $1,995 destination charge. Those figures describe different things: an alleged optioned configuration versus official trim starting prices.
What the $68,570 figure means
The $68,570 price was reported for an R/T First Edition with bundled equipment, not as Dodge’s confirmed entry price for the electric Charger Daytona. MotorTrend’s August 2024 report said the screenshot behind the figure could not be authenticated. MotorTrend’s report therefore supports treating the amount as a reported leaked configuration price, not a verified window-sticker price or official MSRP.
The reported configuration included the Plus Group, Blacktop Package, Sun & Sound Package, heated front and rear seats, blind-spot detection and cross-path detection. Another account of the leaked dealer-screen information also described eStage 1 and bundled appearance and convenience equipment. The exact final equipment and transaction price for an individual vehicle are not established by those reports.
The same leak coverage listed an $82,170 Scat Pack configuration. That, too, was a reported configured price—not the official Scat Pack starting MSRP announced later.

Dodge’s official 2024 starting prices
On August 7, 2024, Dodge announced the two-door 2024 Charger Daytona R/T at $59,595 MSRP and the Scat Pack at $73,190 MSRP. Both prices excluded a $1,995 destination charge. Dodge’s launch pricing announcement is the primary source for those figures.
| 2024 trim | Official starting MSRP | Destination | Launch performance configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charger Daytona R/T | $59,595 | $1,995, excluded from MSRP | Factory Direct Connection Stage 1: 496 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque |
| Charger Daytona Scat Pack | $73,190 | $1,995, excluded from MSRP | Inaugural model included Track Package and factory Stage 2: 670 hp and 627 lb-ft; Dodge estimated 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds and a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds |
Adding the announced destination charge gives $61,590 for an R/T at its starting MSRP and $75,185 for a Scat Pack at its starting MSRP, before any other taxes, fees, options or dealer-specific charges. These totals are simple additions of Dodge’s stated MSRP and destination charge; they are not out-the-door prices.

Why the leaked and official prices are not interchangeable
The $68,570 figure was tied to an allegedly preconfigured R/T with reported options. The $59,595 figure was Dodge’s starting MSRP for the R/T trim, before destination. A vehicle with added equipment can cost more than a base trim, so the difference does not establish that Dodge raised or lowered the base price. Nor does the leak independently prove the final price or equipment of a First Edition vehicle sold to a customer.
For a buyer comparing an actual car, use its window sticker or written dealer quote. Check that the trim, installed packages, destination charge, taxes, title and registration fees, and any dealer-added charges are itemized. The leaked figure alone is not enough to determine a vehicle’s final purchase cost.

Range and charging: Dodge’s currently published claims
Dodge’s FAQ currently lists 308 miles of all-electric range for the Next-Gen Charger Daytona R/T and 241 miles for Scat Pack models, or 240 miles with the Track Package. These are Dodge’s published figures, not independent real-world test results; range in use can differ. Dodge’s Charger Daytona FAQ also describes charging estimates:
- Home Level II: Dodge says a professionally installed 40- or 48-amp charger can bring the battery to 80% in 7–8 hours.
- DC fast charging: Dodge says a 350-kW charger can bring the battery to 80% in 30 minutes.
Those are manufacturer-published estimates, not a guarantee for every charging session. Home charging depends on having suitable electrical service and professional installation; the FAQ’s charging-cost figures are not presented here as universal current costs.

Launch incentives are historical, not a current price guarantee
Dodge’s 2024 launch announcement said both trims qualified for a full $7,500 federal tax credit when leased and offered a choice of an at-home Level 2 charging station or $600 in Free2move Charge credits. Those were launch-era statements, not confirmation that either incentive or offer remains available. Verify current eligibility and offers before including them in a budget.
Dodge’s FAQ lists an 8-year/100,000-mile battery limited warranty and directs owners to Mopar for complete terms. It also says battery replacement is available through a Dodge dealer; warranty coverage and service details should be confirmed with Dodge or the dealer for the specific vehicle.
