Only as an earlier snapshot. A March 2025 recall-related count was reported as 1,995 Canadian Cybertrucks, but a later filing reported in October 2025 covered 2,629. Those figures come from recall filings, not a verified sales or registration tally, so they show that the under-2,000 claim became outdated without establishing a definitive current total.
What the reported counts show
| Reported filing period | Cybertrucks covered | What the figure measures |
|---|---|---|
| March 2025 | 1,995 | A recall-related vehicle count reported as a proxy for the number in Canada; not an audited sales tally. |
| October 2025 | 2,629 | A later recall-filing population reported as a proxy; not a model-by-model sales or registration series. |
Drive Tesla Canada reported both figures, describing the October count in its October 24, 2025 article. The comparison supports a dated conclusion: the reported count was below 2,000 in the March snapshot and above that threshold by the October filing. It does not establish how many Cybertrucks Tesla sold to Canadian customers.
Why a recall count is not a sales total
A recall filing identifies vehicles covered by a safety action. That population can serve as an indicator of how many vehicles may be in a market, but it is not equivalent to a retail-sales ledger or a complete registration dataset. The 2,629 figure is attributed to the filing by Drive Tesla Canada; it should not be described as a Cybertruck sales total published by Transport Canada.
Transport Canada’s recall notice 2025559 confirms the recall applies to 2024 and 2025 Tesla Cybertrucks. It describes front parking lights that may be too bright because of a software issue and says Tesla’s corrective action is an over-the-air software update. The notice confirms the recall and remedy; it does not provide the 2,629 count in the cited notice.

Does Statistics Canada publish a Canadian Cybertruck total?
Not in the cited registration material. Statistics Canada reported 27.6 million road motor vehicles registered in Canada in 2025, a national total that does not specify how many were Cybertrucks. Its vehicle-registration table organizes registrations by vehicle and fuel type, but the consulted information does not identify a Cybertruck-specific count. The national figure provides context, not a way to calculate Tesla’s Canadian Cybertruck sales.

The available dated reports show that the recall-related count exceeded 2,000 by October 2025. They do not verify a cumulative Canadian sales or registration total as of October 8, 2026. Any current exact number would require a model-specific source that distinguishes sales or registrations from vehicles included in a recall.
