No source cited here establishes that Sprints Capital raised a €725 million fund. The clearest documented close is Sprints Capital Fund IV, which City A.M. reported raised €525 million against a €450 million target in January 2022. Revolut and Vinted are companies backed by Sprints, not the fund’s sponsors or namesakes.
What the reported fund figures show
The available figures refer to different events and should not be combined. One is a fund close; another is the hard cap of an earlier fund; the later Vinted figure concerns a share transaction, not capital raised by Sprints.

| Event | Reported amount and date | What the figure describes |
|---|---|---|
| Sprints debut fund | €150 million hard cap; February 2018 | The cap listed in Sprints’ news archive. |
| Sprints Capital Fund IV | €525 million raised against a €450 million target; reported January 12, 2022 | The fund close reported by City A.M.. |
| Vinted secondary share transaction | €8 billion valuation; April 2026 | A transaction and valuation recorded in Sprints’ news archive, not a Sprints fund close. |
| Revolut fundraising | $800 million; May 2021 | A separate company fundraising event listed in Sprints’ archive. |
A target is the amount a fund seeks to raise; the amount reported as raised is the close. Fund IV’s reported close exceeded its target, but that does not establish a different close amount. Nor does the existence of multiple fund vintages allow their figures to be added and described as a newly raised fund: the amounts above belong to separate events.

Sprints Capital is the investment firm. Revolut and Vinted are portfolio companies in which it has invested. Sprints’ portfolio page currently lists both, describing Revolut as a finance app and Vinted as a second-hand marketplace. The relationship is investor to company: it does not mean either business raised or sponsored Sprints’ fund.
City A.M.’s account says Fund IV had already backed Vinted and Back Market, and describes Sprints’ focus as growth-stage technology companies in the UK and Europe. It also says existing investors backed the fund and that the management team provided significant support. Sprints’ portfolio includes Back Market, a refurbished-technology marketplace, and Chrono24, a luxury-watch marketplace, alongside the two better-known names.
How to read the separate Vinted and Revolut events
A secondary share transaction is not the same thing as a company issuing new shares to raise capital. In a secondary transaction, existing shares change hands; a reported valuation associated with that transaction does not state how much the company received, how much the seller received, or how much a fund raised. Sprints’ archive says Vinted completed such a transaction in April 2026 at the valuation shown above. That later event is separate from Fund IV’s earlier close.
Likewise, Revolut’s own fundraising belongs to Revolut’s corporate financing history, not Sprints’ fund history. Sprints’ archive also records investments in Vinted in August 2019 and in Vinted’s Series F in April 2021. Those portfolio investment milestones do not turn company funding into fund capital raised by Sprints.

What remains unverified
The sources linked here document the fund close and the distinct company and share-sale events, but none establishes a Sprints fund close of €725 million. That amount should therefore not be presented as fact on this evidence. A definitive update would require a source directly identifying the fund, its close date, and the amount raised; a portfolio-company financing announcement or a transaction valuation would not be enough.
For readers following the companies as investments, the distinction matters: fund size describes capital gathered by an investment manager, while a portfolio company’s financing describes capital for that business, and a secondary sale describes ownership changing hands. Similar headlines can refer to all three, but the figures answer different questions.
