It relays unnamed-source claims that she was under stress, worried about money, and that her mother, Candy Spelling, declined to assist her financially. These are claims attributed to anonymous sources, not direct statements from Candy or Dean.
Accordingly, the article does not establish that Dean McDermott publicly called Candy out for withholding money. The headline’s wording presents a more definite accusation than the reporting supports.
Is Candy Spelling worth $600 million?
The same article describes Candy as worth a “reported $600million,” but supplies no documentation of her assets. Treat the figure as an estimate repeated in celebrity-wealth reporting, not a confirmed net-worth disclosure or proof that she has a particular amount available to give family members.

What is reported about Tori and Dean’s finances?
The 2026 AOL/RadarOnline story says court records showed more than $1.7 million in tax bills and debt and mentions lawsuits involving credit cards and personal loans. Because the cited passage does not provide the underlying filings, those figures should be attributed to the report rather than treated as independently verified current totals.
Separately, Celebrity Net Worth reported in 2025 that City National Bank was seeking to renew a judgment arising from a 2012 loan and gave an outstanding balance of $395,729.82. That is the outlet’s account of court filings, not a verified present-day balance; the status would need to be checked against the court docket.

Tori’s 2013 comments
In an October 25, 2013 report about her book Spelling It Like It Is, ABC News quoted Tori saying, “It’s no mystery why I have money problems.” That is her comment about circumstances at that time; it does not establish her finances in 2026.
A Los Angeles Times account from 2013 noted that public descriptions of the couple’s finances differed: Tori discussed hardship and spending restrictions, while Dean said things were going well. The paper also cited a then-common estimate that Tori inherited $800,000 after her father Aaron Spelling’s death. That contemporaneous figure is not a newly verified estate accounting.

The Associated Press reported that Tori filed for divorce from Dean in March 2024. Her petition cited irreconcilable differences, listed June 17, 2023 as the separation date, and requested custody and support.
