Citilink’s Perth–Bali flights were reported cancelled for the remainder of 2025 in a PerthNow article published on 26 March 2025. Although that article’s headline used the word “permanently,” its body specified the rest of 2025; it does not establish that the route was ended forever or whether service resumed after that year.

What was reported about Citilink’s Perth–Bali service?

PerthNow reported on 26 March 2025 that Citilink had cancelled Perth–Bali flights for the rest of 2025. The word “permanently” appeared in the headline, but the article’s stated timeframe was the remainder of that year. Read the report as a dated cancellation announcement, not proof of a permanent route closure. PerthNow’s 26 March 2025 report

Earlier reports described the service as suspended. On 12 March 2025, The West Australian said flights had stopped in February, there were no flights scheduled until 1 May, and Perth Airport said Citilink had not confirmed a return date. The West Australian’s report On 27 March, Karryon quoted a Perth Airport spokesperson saying, “Citilink has suspended its PER services” and that a return date had yet to be confirmed by the airline. What to do if your Citilink flight was affected

The notification route depended on where the ticket was bought, according to PerthNow’s account of the airline’s plan. That report does not establish that every passenger received a notice or set out a guaranteed refund or rebooking outcome.

If you booked directly with Citilink

PerthNow reported that passengers who booked directly with the airline had been or would be notified. Check the contact details on your booking and look for the latest message and instructions from Citilink. The report pointed passengers to the airline’s refund page, but your ticket terms and current airline guidance determine what options are available.

If you booked through an agent or another third party

The report said customers who booked through a third party were expected to be notified after Citilink formally advised travel agents. Contact the agent or platform that issued your ticket, as well as checking any messages from the airline. Ask the booking provider to confirm the status of each flight and explain the options under your ticket terms; do not assume a particular refund or replacement itinerary is available.

What the route history does—and does not—show

In July 2023, the Western Australian Government announced Citilink’s return to Western Australia with daily direct return flights between Perth and Bali, alongside a direct Perth–Jakarta service. The announcement estimated just over 28,000 inbound passengers per year for the announced services. That was a projection made at the time, not a later count of actual passengers. The March 2025 reports establish what Citilink and Perth Airport said at that time. They do not establish whether Perth–Denpasar service resumed after 2025 or what current refund terms apply. Check Citilink’s current flight information and the provider that issued your ticket before making travel or financial decisions.
