To establish a profit, the club’s acquisition cost and a subsequent sale price would need to be confirmed, along with relevant fees and accounting treatment. A gross transfer fee alone would not show the net gain. The sources cited here establish no future sale price, net proceeds or profit figure.

Contract through summer 2030
Cardiff’s player profile says Salech initially joined on a four-and-a-half-year deal due to run through summer 2029, then extended his contract in January 2026 through summer 2030. The longer deal is relevant to Cardiff’s position in any future negotiations, but it does not establish an asking price or guarantee a sale.

Dated contributions on the pitch
Cardiff’s profile records nine goals in all competitions during the second half of the 2024/25 season. Separately, the EFL reported that Salech scored twice and assisted Cardiff’s third goal in a 3–2 Carabao Cup comeback win over Swindon Town on 24 August 2026. He was named Player of the Round. That match is a specific example of his contribution, not a complete season tally.
After receiving the award, Salech said: “It’s always nice to get individual recognition, but I just want to do my part, work hard and do well for the team, so we can achieve much bigger things together.” The EFL’s report also quoted Cardiff caretaker manager Aaron Ramsey in May 2025 describing Salech as “a fantastic player and he’s only going to get better.” These comments and performance markers offer context for why Cardiff may value him; they do not establish buyer interest or a future transfer valuation.

Would a transfer profit go directly to Vincent Tan?
Not on the evidence available. The reporting concerns the possibility of Cardiff making money from a player transfer; it does not say a gain would be paid directly to Tan. A club’s transfer accounting and an owner’s personal income are different things, and no evidence here establishes any personal payment to him.
