The figure traces to an estimate built on a hypothetical conversion rate, while later reporting says Chyna told Forbes her earnings were close to $2 million over two years. Neither figure is backed by audited account records in the sources cited here.
Where did the $240 million claim come from?
In September 2022, Capital XTRA reported that Chyna had reportedly made $240 million in the prior year and attributed the number to Statista. That establishes that the claim circulated; it does not establish that she received that amount. Capital XTRA’s report also referenced a much lower amount associated with her 2022 court case, but the $240 million headline was not a verified accounting total.
Trapital later traced the viral figures to a 2020 SlotsUp blog calculation that Statista had cited. The calculation assumed that 2.5% of a creator’s Instagram followers would become paying OnlyFans subscribers. That is a model assumption—not a measured conversion rate for Chyna, evidence of her subscriber count, or proof of revenue. Trapital’s analysis argues that the assumed conversion was unrealistic.
Why an annualized estimate is not proof of income
The $240 million figure was also circulated as roughly $20 million a month. Multiplying that monthly estimate by 12 produces an annualized headline, but it does not transform the projection into measured earnings. A defensible personal-income figure would require evidence such as platform payout records or other reliable accounting; the reports cited here do not provide that documentation.

There is also a basic distinction between a creator’s gross subscription sales and the amount ultimately paid to that creator. A follower-conversion model does not establish either figure unless its assumptions and actual transactions are verified.
What later reporting says Chyna earned
A 2025 Celebrity Net Worth article says Chyna told Forbes that her actual OnlyFans earnings were close to $2 million over two years. E! has repeated that account. This is a reported statement attributed to Chyna, not an independently verified payout total: neither article supplies an audited account statement. Celebrity Net Worth’s account and E!’s report offer a much lower account than the viral estimate, but readers should keep the attribution and verification limits attached to it.

The listing confirms the topic was addressed, but it is not a transcript and does not establish her exact answer. The episode listing should not be treated as a verbatim earnings statement.

The evidence supports describing $240 million as a widely circulated estimate, not as a verified amount Chyna earned. The estimate’s stated foundation is a hypothetical follower-to-subscriber assumption, while the lower figure is a personal account attributed to Chyna by later publications. The available reporting does not include OnlyFans records, tax filings, or audited statements that independently settle her exact earnings.

OnlyFans’ reported scale does not close that evidence gap. TIME’s July 2022 figures—more than $8 billion paid to creators and 200 million registered users—were platform-wide claims, not information about any one creator’s account.
