Berger Paints India Limited held a shareholder postal ballot on two director appointments, but the available information does not confirm the vote’s outcome. The board had appointed Navjeet Singh Sobti and Amardeep Jain subject to shareholder approval; those board decisions are not proof that shareholders approved them.

What was put to shareholders?

The postal ballot covered two proposed five-year appointments at Berger Paints India Limited, each running from 1 September 2026 through 31 August 2031, subject to shareholder approval. A filing-history summary identifies the nominees and roles, but is not a substitute for the company’s original disclosures: FolioPulse filing-history summary.

  • Navjeet Singh Sobti: Independent Director.
  • Amardeep Jain: Whole-time Director.

When did the postal ballot take place?

The notice set 28 August 2026 as the eligibility cut-off date. Remote e-voting opened at 9:00 a.m. IST on 7 September 2026 and closed at 5:00 p.m. IST on 6 October 2026. It said results would be announced no later than two working days after voting closed. These dates and the stated deadline are reported in the filing-history and ballot-notice summaries: Filing history and ballot-notice summary.

What is known about the result?

The voting period has ended, but the available indexed material does not establish whether shareholders approved either appointment or provide vote totals or percentages. Berger Paints’ official investor-download page lists disclosures, including postal-ballot materials and e-voting results, but the specific result was not exposed in the page information available here: Berger Paints India Investor Downloads.

Accordingly, the headline claim that shareholders approved the appointments should not be treated as verified without a result filing. The board’s appointments were conditional on shareholder approval, and the ballot’s completion alone does not show how shareholders voted. An announcement mirror also surfaced the notice, but not an official result: BazaarWatch announcement mirror.

What should investors check next?

For a confirmed outcome, look for Berger Paints’ postal-ballot result disclosure on its investor-download page or the relevant official exchange filing. A result should identify whether each resolution passed and report the voting figures. Until such a disclosure is available, the result remains unconfirmed.
