Did Antares Ventures Raise More Than $50 Million? What Is Confirmed

No reliable dated source identified here confirms that Antares Ventures raised more than $50 million. The firm’s verified 2025 announcement concerns a SEEDS Capital co-investment partnership, whose program allocations are not Antares’ own fundraise.

The reported Antares Ventures raise of more than $50 million cannot be confirmed from the firm’s dated public announcements and official materials identified for this article. No attributable source located here establishes the fund’s name, amount, closing date or whether a fund actually closed. A separate February 2025 announcement confirms Antares was selected as a co-investment partner for Singapore’s SEEDS Capital, but the sums described there belong to that public-private program—not to an Antares fundraise.

What is—and is not—confirmed about the alleged raise

A venture firm’s fundraising claim normally requires four identifiable details: the investment vehicle, the capital raised, the date or closing stage, and an attributable announcement or report. Those details are not established for the claim that Antares Ventures raised more than $50 million for deep-tech investments.

Accordingly, the figure should be treated as unverified rather than as a completed financing. It would be premature to describe the amount as committed capital, assets under management or money available for deployment. A primary announcement from Antares, a fund filing or a reliable dated report would be needed to confirm it.

What Antares Ventures says it does

Antares Ventures describes itself as a deep-tech investor that invests globally and operates locally to help technology companies scale across Asia. Its stated focus is early-growth companies from Seed through Series B that have industrial demand and a path to adoption.

The firm says it can lead or co-lead investment rounds, take board seats, work closely with founders and connect companies with industrial and corporate partners. Its portfolio pages describe businesses working in areas including energy storage, grid optimization, water treatment, industrial sensing, manufacturing, mobility, materials, food technology and infrastructure. Those descriptions are the firm’s own account of its portfolio, not independent performance assessments.

Investment areas identified by the firm

  • Energy systems: next-generation energy production, grid storage and balancing, and power electronics.
  • Compute and digital infrastructure: advanced materials and compute architectures, cooling and advanced packaging.
  • Industrial systems: manufacturing, electrification, sensing, automation and mobility.
  • Infrastructure and natural systems: water and waste treatment and resource recovery.

Antares identifies its legal name as Antares Ventures Pte. Ltd. and says it is a venture-capital fund manager licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. It lists offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta. Its homepage names Michael Gryseels as founder and managing partner, with Rui (Louis) Murayama and Milena Nikolova as partners.

The verified 2025 SEEDS Capital partnership

On February 18, 2025, Antares announced that it had been selected as one of SEEDS Capital’s new co-investment partners under the Startup SG Equity scheme. SEEDS Capital is the investment arm of Enterprise Singapore.

Antares’ announcement said SEEDS planned to set aside S$150 million (US$110 million) over three years and aimed to mobilize another S$300 million (US$220 million) through private-sector partners. The program was described as supporting high-impact startups in fields such as advanced manufacturing, pharmbio and medtech, agrifood technology, sustainability, spacetech and quantum technology.

These are program allocations and targets attributed to SEEDS Capital in Antares’ announcement. They are not evidence that Antares itself raised S$150 million, US$110 million or any amount above $50 million. In a co-investment structure, public capital and private partner commitments are distinct from a manager’s own fund vehicle.

Other figures in Antares’ announcement

Figure What it refers to Qualification
S$150 million (US$110 million) SEEDS Capital’s planned allocation over three years Reported by Antares in February 2025; it is not an Antares fundraise
S$300 million (US$220 million) Additional private-sector capital SEEDS aimed to mobilize Target for the Startup SG Equity program, not confirmed Antares capital
Close to S$3 billion (US$2.2 billion) Investments Startup SG Equity had facilitated across more than 330 startups Figure reported by Antares; not independently verified here
S$12 million per deep-tech startup Reported co-investment cap after an increase from S$8 million Scheme limit described in Antares’ 2025 announcement

Why separating the numbers matters

“Raised” can refer to a closed venture fund, while “set aside,” “targeted” and “mobilized” describe public-program plans or intended third-party participation. Those categories cannot be substituted for one another. A fund manager can be appointed to a co-investment program without receiving the program’s entire allocation as its own capital.

The same distinction applies to the reported S$3 billion figure: it describes cumulative investments facilitated by Startup SG Equity across more than 330 startups, not assets managed by Antares. The announcement also says the scheme’s cap per deep-tech startup rose from S$8 million to S$12 million; that is a ceiling for eligible co-investments, not a guarantee to every company or a measure of Antares’ fund size.

What remains to be reported before the claim can be confirmed

  • The legal name of the Antares investment vehicle.
  • The precise amount raised and currency.
  • The first close, final close or other closing status.
  • The closing date and the investors or commitment structure, if publicly disclosed.
  • Whether the capital is a dedicated fund, a co-investment mandate or another arrangement.

Until those facts appear in an attributable source, readers should not infer that Antares has more than $50 million in newly raised discretionary capital. The verified record supports its investment strategy and its SEEDS Capital partnership, but not the headline fundraising amount.
