The filing set September 30, 2025, as the planned layoff date; the companies described October 1 as the new vendor’s effective date. Those dates describe a scheduled transition, not confirmation of the final number of people who lost work.

Unifi’s WARN filing listed 379 planned position eliminations, as reported by WSB-TV. The filing included 113 assembly agents and 118 drivers. WSB-TV said nearly 150 other workers were also included; it did not give an exact count for that group.

Delta said all affected Unifi employees had been given an opportunity to join the Newrest team. That statement describes an opportunity, not proof that every employee received or accepted a specific job offer.

Unifi said affected employees could pursue other roles with the company at the airport if they chose. Its statement also said the company would provide guidance and assistance during the transition.
