What the passenger says happened
In a Reddit post published March 3, 2026, a passenger described a February 19 Delta One flight from Salt Lake City (SLC) to Seoul Incheon (ICN). The flight lasted 13 hours, according to the post. The passenger said both seats malfunctioned for much of the trip: they would not recline normally for several hours, and seat power, lighting, audio and entertainment were unavailable. What is known about the compensation
The reported offer was 10,000 SkyMiles per passenger in this particular case. The post does not establish whether the miles were a one-time goodwill gesture, what criteria Delta used, or whether other passengers would receive the same amount. No source here establishes a standard, minimum or guaranteed Delta payment for a malfunctioning first-class or Delta One seat.
