The Delhi High Court’s 2022 recruitment notices advertised 168 vacancies across two separate examinations: 123 in the Delhi Judicial Service (DJS) and 45 in the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DHJS). The application windows and deadlines have passed, and the High Court archive records later results and final-result notices. The eligibility rules and dates below apply only to that completed 2022 cycle.
What did the 168 vacancies comprise?
The total is the sum of two notices issued by the High Court of Delhi on 23 February 2022, not a single examination or combined pool. The DJS notice listed 123 vacancies—55 existing and 68 anticipated—while the DHJS notice listed 45—43 existing and two anticipated. Both notices said vacancy numbers could change.

Who could apply for DJS in 2022?

The notice provided upper-age relaxation of five years for SC/ST candidates, up to five years for qualifying ex-servicemen, and ten years for persons with identified disabilities. It also described relaxation of up to 15 years for SC/ST candidates with identified disabilities. These are the 2022 notice’s stated rules, not current eligibility guidance.
Who could apply for DHJS in 2022?
DHJS direct recruitment had a different experience and age threshold: applicants had to be Indian citizens, have at least seven years of continuous advocacy practice by the 12 March 2022 application deadline, and be at least 35 but under 45 on 1 January 2022. The DJS eligibility route and age limit therefore should not be applied to DHJS, or vice versa.
