Decrypt Money Accounts went live on Solana on October 8, 2026. Each account holds a USDT balance that Decrypt says can fund several of its products, and the company says users do not need to hold SOL to cover network gas or rent. Decrypt also describes the account as self-custodial, but its own announcement leaves several practical details open, including private-key export, which it says is still to come.
What Decrypt announced
According to Decrypt’s launch announcement, Decrypt Money Accounts on Solana to Power The Information Exchange, published October 8, 2026, the accounts are live on Solana as of that date. Everything below describes Decrypt’s own account of the product. The announcement is a company statement, not an independent technical review, so it is best read as a description of intended behavior rather than verified performance.
How the balance is meant to work
The core idea is one balance across several products. Decrypt says balances are held in USDT, and that one balance is intended to fund Earn, Swaps, Predictions, and Perps. It also says Decrypt Takes and other features will follow.
The announcement does not say which of these functions are fully available to every user on October 8, 2026, and it describes the rollout as staged. Treat the four named products as the intended scope of the balance, and confirm in the app which ones are active for your account before moving funds with a specific purpose in mind.

Do you need SOL to use it?
Decrypt says gas and rent are sponsored through fee-payer co-signing, so users do not need to hold SOL for those network costs. In practical terms, this is the main difference from a typical Solana wallet, where you must hold SOL to pay transaction fees and account rent.
Two points are worth keeping in mind. The announcement presents sponsorship as the platform’s arrangement and does not publish its terms, limits, or whether it could change. It also does not state the fees Decrypt charges for individual products, so the absence of a SOL requirement does not mean every action is free.
Deposits, eligibility, and geography
Decrypt says users can deposit using “virtually any payment method,” but it does not list those methods. Do not assume a specific bank, card, or crypto transfer route is supported until the app or Decrypt’s current product documentation shows it.

The announcement also does not state geographic restrictions or account eligibility requirements. If you live in a region where access to prediction markets, perpetual futures, or swaps is limited, check those restrictions before funding an account.

Decrypt describes Money Accounts as self-custodial. It says it does not hold users’ private keys and cannot transact on their behalf. That is a meaningful design claim, and it has real consequences: if you lose access to the account’s keys or recovery method, the platform’s stated design means it cannot simply reverse the loss for you.

The announcement says private-key export is coming in the future, so it was not available at launch. It does not describe recovery options, and it does not state that an independent audit has verified the custody design. Until those details are published, treat the self-custody description as Decrypt’s claim.
How cross-chain activity is handled
Decrypt says cross-chain activity happens underneath the account. Its example is Myriad Predictions markets that settle on BNB Chain while a user trades from the same Solana USDT balance, without bridging assets personally or using a second network.

That is the platform’s description of the user experience. The announcement does not explain the bridge, the settlement architecture, or the risks involved in moving value between chains, so readers should not infer how those transfers are secured from the user-facing summary.

According to Decrypt, existing Myriad Wallet users can use Money Accounts immediately. The existing wallet becomes the new account, and no migration is required. This is the one operational detail in the announcement that is stated as an immediate fact for a defined group of users, though the announcement does not describe the steps for confirming that your wallet has been converted.

What The Information Exchange is supposed to be
Decrypt presents Money Accounts as infrastructure for The Information Exchange, which it says combines reporting, data, prices, and probabilities with financial instruments. In its framing, Decrypt is the information layer, Myriad is the infrastructure that connects information to action, and the upcoming MYR token is an economic coordination layer on Solana.
These are roadmap descriptions. The announcement does not give a detailed MYR launch schedule and does not name the protocol partners it says will be announced later.

What Decrypt says the product is for
Ilan Hazan, co-founder of Decrypt, framed the product this way: “Our goal is simple: one account, one balance, and access to every financial instrument, directly from where you already consume information.”

He also said: “From prediction markets to perpetual futures and swaps, users will be able to manage all their positions in one place, without worrying about wallets, bridges or chains. We’re working with leading protocols to make this possible, with partners to be announced in the coming weeks.”
Both statements describe the vision and the roadmap. They are not evidence that every feature is live or that the partner integrations exist yet.
