Celebrity Net Worth estimates Debbie Rowe’s net worth at $20 million, but that is an unverified website estimate—not a confirmed balance sheet. The strongest specific financial figure in public reporting is historical: the Los Angeles Times reported that court records showed an $8.5 million divorce settlement finalized in 2000. That settlement figure does not establish Rowe’s wealth today.
What is Debbie Rowe’s net worth?
Celebrity Net Worth displays a $20 million estimate for Rowe. The site says its net-worth calculations are based on public sources and are estimates unless otherwise indicated; it does not present this figure as a verified disclosure by Rowe. Celebrity Net Worth’s Debbie Rowe estimate therefore should be treated as a published estimate, not a confirmed total of assets minus liabilities.
No audited current net-worth figure or independently verified public estimate is established by the available reporting. The $20 million estimate and historical settlement accounts describe different things and cannot be compared as if they were competing measurements of Rowe’s current wealth.
What public reporting says about Rowe’s divorce settlement
The Los Angeles Times account
In a 2009 report, the Los Angeles Times said court records showed Rowe agreed to an $8.5 million settlement when her divorce from Michael Jackson was finalized in April 2000. The newspaper’s account of the 2009 custody dispute is a report about historical court-record details, not a statement of Rowe’s present assets.

Biography.com’s different description
Biography.com describes Rowe as accepting more than $6 million plus ownership of the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion. Its Debbie Rowe biography, updated May 25, 2021, does not reconcile that description with the $8.5 million figure reported by the Los Angeles Times. The two accounts should remain separately attributed; the sources do not establish whether the mansion was included in or additional to the Times’ figure.
What the 2005 payment report does—and does not—show
The Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson gave Rowe more than $250,000 in June 2005. The newspaper also reported Rowe’s testimony that by the end of that year the money had been spent on an American Express bill and legal fees. The account arose in a custody dispute and is not a complete record of Rowe’s income, assets, debts, or later finances. Statements by Jackson’s lawyers reported in the same dispute should likewise be understood as claims made in that proceeding, not a comprehensive financial accounting.

No. The filed will identifies Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson as Jackson’s former wife, but that identification alone does not show that she received an inheritance or any other payment. The will document hosted by The Conversation is not evidence, by itself, of a transfer to Rowe. The reviewed public material does not establish a distribution to her from Jackson’s estate or her current financial position.
