There is no verified current net-worth figure for Dave Stewart, the Eurythmics musician also known as David A. Stewart. Public estimates vary sharply: Celebrity Net Worth lists $45 million, while Grizzly Bulls gives a $110 million base case and a $70 million to $170 million scenario range. Neither source establishes his actual assets, debts, or audited wealth.

Who is Dave Stewart?

This article is about David A. Stewart, the English musician, songwriter, and producer best known as one half of Eurythmics with Annie Lennox—not another musician named Dave Stewart. The Songwriters Hall of Fame biography describes his work with Eurythmics, collaborations with other artists, and multimedia ventures.

The same biography reports more than 100 million album sales across his career. That is a career sales figure, not a measure of Stewart’s personal income or current net worth. It also reports 26 ASCAP Awards and refers to BMI awards for most-performed songs, without stating a separate number for the BMI awards.

How do the published net-worth estimates compare?

Publisher Published figure What the figure establishes
Celebrity Net Worth $45 million A third-party estimate. The page does not establish audited assets, liabilities, a valuation method, or an as-of date.
Grizzly Bulls $110 million base case; $70 million bear case; $170 million bull case The site labels its confidence low and describes the figures as scenarios rather than audited holdings. It notes that the catalogue purchase price was not disclosed.

The estimates are not directly comparable: one offers a single figure with little visible methodology, while the other presents a low-confidence scenario range. Neither verifies Stewart’s personal assets or debts, and averaging them would not produce a reliable estimate.

What does the music-catalogue sale reveal?

On 10 May 2019, Hipgnosis Songs Fund announced that it had acquired a music catalogue from David A. Stewart. The announcement discusses his Eurythmics work but does not disclose the purchase price. It therefore cannot support a calculation of his sale proceeds or the value of assets he retained.

Why album sales and awards do not establish net worth

Album sales, songwriting credits, awards, and business ventures help describe the scale of a career; they do not show how much money an artist personally received or still owns. A net-worth calculation would also need reliable information about income, rights ownership, expenses, taxes, liabilities, and other assets. The public sources cited here do not provide a verified financial statement covering those factors.
