Digital Agency Network (DAN) announced a London digital marketing agency roundup on August 1, 2024. It names 12 agencies, despite language framing the selection as a “top 10.” Treat it as a historical directory roundup, not a ranking of the best agencies to hire today: DAN’s current London directory lists 173 verified agencies and can change over time.
Which London agencies did DAN name in August 2024?
The TechBullion announcement dated August 1, 2024, named these 12 agencies: Together, Favoured, Propeller, Hallam, Skywire, Creative Brand Design, Cremarc, The Charles, CEEK, Burst Digital, SmallGiants and GA Agency. The headline and announcement describe a “top” group, but the list contains 12 names—not 10.
GA Agency’s own post, published August 16, 2024, says it was named one of DAN’s “TOP 10” London digital marketing agencies. That contemporaneous account repeats the top-10 framing without explaining why the announcement names 12 firms. The discrepancy is unresolved, so the list is best understood as the agencies named in the announcement rather than a precisely defined top-ten ranking.
What did DAN say about its selection?
The announcement said DAN considered accolades, client feedback, performance, legal standing, testimonials and portfolio breadth. Those are criteria reported in an announcement, not a published scoring system: the sources do not establish how the factors were weighted, what evidence was audited or how the agencies were ranked against one another. Inclusion should not be treated as an independently verified performance score or a guarantee of results.

What does the 2024 agency data say?
GA Agency attributed the following statistics to DAN research covering 329 registered London agencies in 2024. They are figures reported by an interested agency, not independently verified here.

The listed service shares add up to 101%. GA Agency’s post does not say whether categories overlap or whether the total reflects rounding or reporting variation.

| IT & Technology | 26% |
| Fashion and Retail | 22% |
| Finance | 20% |

These figures describe the categories reported in GA Agency’s account of DAN’s 2024 research; they do not establish the capabilities or results of any one firm on the list.
Is the August 2024 list still current?
No. It is a dated roundup, not evidence of which agencies lead the London market now. DAN’s current London directory lists 173 verified agencies as accessed in 2026, and its contents differ from the 2024 list. Directory listings and counts may change. DAN’s current About page also reports more than 4,000 member agencies and 146,000+ monthly visits; those are DAN’s own figures, not independently audited statistics.
The directory currently offers filters and guidance for narrowing agencies by service expertise, industry specialization, platform experience, budget and reviews. It also points users to case studies and awards. DAN’s marketplace lets brands submit project details to receive quotes or agency matches. These are platform features, not endorsements or proof that a particular agency will deliver a desired outcome.

Start with the work you need done, then compare candidates against the same criteria. A directory shortlist—including the names in DAN’s 2024 announcement—can help you find possibilities, but a hiring decision should rest on current evidence and a clear scope.
Rank #4
- Match the service to the goal. Specify whether you need SEO, web design, paid media, social media, strategy or another defined deliverable. Ask what the agency will actually produce and what falls outside the scope.
- Check sector and audience experience. Review relevant case studies and ask how the agency’s experience relates to your customers, business model and market. A broad industry label alone does not establish a close fit.
- Ask how results will be measured. Request examples of outcomes, the measurement approach and the reporting cadence. Clarify which metrics the agency can influence and how it will explain performance.
- Compare budget and scope together. Establish whether the proposal is a project or retainer, the minimum budget, what work is included and what could trigger additional charges. A headline price is not comparable if the deliverables differ.
- Meet the people who will do the work. Confirm who will manage the account and deliver the work, their capacity, communication expectations and any geography or time-zone requirements.
- Review the commercial terms. Check ownership of work and accounts, contract length, exit terms and how performance will be reviewed before signing.
Ask each shortlisted agency the same questions and compare written proposals side by side. That makes differences in deliverables, evidence, cost and contract terms easier to spot than relying on a directory label or award alone.
