What Dame announced in September 2022
TechCrunch reported on September 21, 2022, that New York-based Dame Products had closed a $7 million Series A earlier that month. Amboy Street Ventures led the round, with participation from Listen Ventures, Flybridge, Echo, and Forest Road Company. The report put Dame’s total funding at $13 million after the raise. The announcement connected the financing to expanding the product line, including Dip, and to further product innovation, replenishable products, and content and community. Dame CEO Alexandra Fine said the funding would enable the company to continue that work. This describes the plans stated at the time, not a claim that the raise caused every item now listed by the company.
Dip: the product tied to the raise
Dip was the named launch associated with the announcement. TechCrunch reported that Dame planned to launch the vibrator on October 12, 2022, at $49. The article described it as an accessible entry point for people earlier in their sexual wellness journey and said its price was roughly $50 below similar Dame products at the time. These are launch-era details; they do not establish Dip’s current availability or price.

How Dame described its range in 2022
TechCrunch said Dame offered about 30 items at the time, spanning vibrators, gummies, and serums. Fine told the publication, “About 40% of our products are not vibrators,” describing the company’s effort to develop products across categories. The count and share are statements from 2022, not figures for Dame’s current catalog.
The same report said Dame sold through its own site and retailers including Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, and Free People at that time. That historical distribution list should not be read as confirmation of current retail availability.
