Williams would become President of Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming, effective February 21, 2022. She is no longer in that role. Hasbro’s fiscal 2024 filing reports that she departed on April 26, 2024, and that John Hight was appointed president of the division on July 18, 2024.
What the 2022 announcement said
Hasbro’s February 2, 2022 announcement covered two appointments. Williams was named president of Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming, with a start date of February 21. Tim Fields joined the company in the same announcement as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Gaming.
Williams succeeded Chris Cocks, who was set to become Hasbro’s chief executive on February 25, 2022. The timing means the division changed leaders in the same month the company changed its top executive, so the two moves should be read as one leadership transition rather than separate decisions.
In the announcement, Williams said: “Joining the team whose passion and imagination created such iconic games as MAGIC: THE GATHERING and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS is a dream come true.”

Her background before Wizards
Hasbro identified Williams’s immediate prior role as General Manager and Vice President of the Gaming Ecosystem Commercial Team at Microsoft. Before that, according to Hasbro, she spent more than a decade at Amazon, where she led global growth for the e-commerce direct-to-consumer business of Fulfillment by Amazon.
Hasbro described her experience as spanning gaming, technology, e-commerce, and cloud and console-based gaming. These are the company’s descriptions of her background. They were not independently measured outcomes, and the announcement does not list specific results from her Microsoft or Amazon work.

Revenue context: what Hasbro credited
Hasbro’s 2022 announcement stated that Wizards of the Coast doubled its revenue from 2018 to 2021. Hasbro attributed that growth to Cocks’s leadership during that period. It should not be read as a result of Williams’s tenure, which began after those years ended.
The leadership change
Hasbro’s fiscal 2024 filing states that Williams departed on April 26, 2024, to pursue a role as chief executive of another company. It also reports that John Hight was appointed President of Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming on July 18, 2024. The sources used for this article establish that transition, but they do not verify Williams’s current employer or title, so no claim about her later role is made here.
