Cyber Monday 2025 was December 1, 2025. The prices below are reported U.S. sale prices from that event, not live August 2026 offers. Among the reported deals, the Lenovo LOQ with an RTX 5050 at $649.99 was the strongest sub-$700 value, while the Acer Nitro V RTX 4050 at $579.99 was the most compelling entry point under $600. Buyers wanting more performance should have focused on RTX 5060 systems around $1,100–$1,200.
Availability, stock, coupons and retailer terms have changed. Recheck the exact model and current price before buying; manufacturer event pages such as HP’s Cyber Week page and Lenovo’s promotion page document the 2025 event but do not establish that these offers remain available.
Quick verdict on the reported 2025 deals

|---|---|---|---|
| Best under $600 | Acer Nitro V, Core i5-13420H, RTX 4050, 8GB/512GB | $579.99 | Modern entry-level GPU at the lowest credible price; 8GB memory is the catch. |
| Best under $700 | Lenovo LOQ, Core i5-13450HX, RTX 5050, 16GB/512GB | $649.99 | 16GB RAM and a newer budget GPU made it PCWorld’s performance-per-dollar favorite. |
| Best mainstream system | Alienware 16 Aurora, Core 7-240H, RTX 5060, 16GB/1TB, 2560×1600 | $1,099.98 | Balanced memory, storage and higher-resolution display. |
| Best conventional 16-inch performer | Asus ROG Strix G16, Core i7-14650HX, RTX 5060, 16GB/1TB | $1,199.99 | Performance-focused configuration without the Zephyrus’ compact premium. |
| Best RTX 5070 value | MSI Katana 15 HX, Core i9-14900HX, RTX 5070, 32GB/1TB, 2560×1600 | $1,369.99 | High GPU tier and generous memory, offset by likely chassis and display compromises. |
| Best compact option | Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, RTX 5060 | $1,299 | Reported $500 reduction for shoppers prioritizing portability. |
| Best premium performance | Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB/1TB | $1,899 | Fastest configuration in this list, but value depends on its display and power limits. |
Configuration-level prices and savings were reported by PCWorld; the G14 price was reported by GamesRadar. These are editorial value judgments from listed specifications, not independent benchmark results.
The best deals by budget
Under $600: choose RTX 4050 over RTX 2050 when possible
The HP Victus with Ryzen 5 7535HS, RTX 2050, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD was reported at $555, only $55 below its stated comparison price. It is the cheapest option here, but the RTX 2050 and 8GB memory make it a lowest-settings, entry-level purchase. Unless every dollar matters, the Acer Nitro V was the better target: its Core i5-13420H, RTX 4050, 8GB/512GB configuration was reported at $579.99, $170 off at Amazon.

The Nitro’s 8GB may require an upgrade for newer games, and buyers should confirm that the specific retailer configuration has an accessible memory slot. Check the final seller, warranty and return terms rather than assuming every Nitro V listing is identical.
Under $700: Lenovo LOQ RTX 5050
The reported $649.99 Lenovo LOQ paired a Core i5-13450HX, RTX 5050, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD; PCWorld identified it as its strongest performance-per-dollar deal. That combination is more attractive than an 8GB RTX 4050 system when the listed configuration is genuine. Confirm the exact display, GPU power limit, battery and seller because LOQ variants share a family name but can differ materially.

- Asus TUF F16: Core 5 210H, RTX 4050, 16GB/512GB at a reported $749.99, $350 off. It offers a larger 16-inch format but less GPU headroom than the RTX 5050 and 5060 choices.
- Alienware 16 Aurora: Core 7-240H, RTX 5060, 16GB/1TB and 2560×1600 at a reported $1,099.98, $300.01 off. Verify refresh rate and cooling/noise behavior for the exact SKU.
- HP Omen Transcend 14: Core Ultra 7 255H, RTX 5050, OLED, 16GB/1TB at a reported $1,149.99, advertised as $650 off at HP. The OLED improves contrast and image quality, but the RTX 5050 is a modest match for a high-resolution panel.
- Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025): Core i7-14650HX, RTX 5060, 16GB/1TB at $1,199.99, reported $300 off. It is the better fit for buyers prioritizing a conventional, performance-oriented 16-inch gaming design over portability.
$1,200 and above: portability, GPU power or premium build
- ROG Zephyrus G14: The RTX 5060 model was reported at $1,299, $500 off at Best Buy. Check whether memory is soldered or expandable, the exact screen, battery expectations and included charger.
- MSI Katana 15 HX: Core i9-14900HX, RTX 5070, 32GB/1TB and 2560×1600 at $1,369.99, reported $275.08 off. It is the GPU-value choice only if you accept possible compromises in display quality, build and thermals associated with this chassis class.
- Lenovo Legion Pro 7i: Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB/1TB at a reported $1,899, $400.99 off at Amazon. Choose it for high-end performance rather than savings; a good RTX 5060 system can offer better value.
What each laptop GPU tier means
| GPU | Practical target | Watch-outs |
|---|---|---|
| RTX 2050 | Lowest-cost gaming, lighter titles and reduced settings. | Weakest option here; avoid paying near RTX 4050 prices. |
| RTX 4050 | Entry-level modern gaming, principally at 1080p. | Performance depends on laptop wattage; 8GB system memory is common in cheap listings. |
| RTX 5050 | Attractive budget tier when a 16GB system is below $700. | Do not assume a fixed frame rate or identical performance across power limits. |
| RTX 5060 | Mainstream 1080p and many 1600p configurations. | A 1600p screen increases rendering demand; settings or upscaling may need adjustment. |
| RTX 5070/5070 Ti | Higher-refresh gaming and demanding games at higher resolutions. | Cooling, total graphics power and the chassis can erase part of the specification advantage. |
Laptop GPU performance varies with total graphics power, cooling design, CPU limits and game settings. The GPU name alone is not a benchmark.
Specifications that can change the real cost
- Memory: Treat 8GB as a likely upgrade expense; 16GB is the sensible minimum for a new gaming laptop where possible. Verify whether RAM is socketed or soldered.
- Storage: A 512GB SSD fills quickly after several large games. Check for a second M.2 slot and whether the drive is replaceable.
- Display: Confirm resolution, refresh rate, response time, brightness and color coverage. OLED and 2560×1600 panels improve image quality but can demand more GPU performance.
- Power and graphics switching: Look for the stated GPU wattage/TGP, a MUX switch or Advanced Optimus, and USB-C charging capability.
- Portability: Include the weight and power-brick size in your decision; high-performance models are often bulky even when the laptop itself looks slim.
- Ownership details: Check webcam quality, keyboard layout and RGB behavior, warranty provider, dead-pixel policy and return window.
Why a large advertised discount can mislead
The Omen Transcend 14’s reported $650 reduction was the largest dollar saving in this list, but that does not make it the best gaming value. A retailer’s “was” price may be list pricing rather than the model’s normal street price. Compare the final configuration—not just the percentage—with competing RTX 5060 machines, and price in RAM or SSD upgrades.

Retailers can sell different CPUs, screens, keyboards and GPU power limits under the same family name. Marketplace listings may also be refurbished, open-box or covered by a third-party warranty. “Up to” savings, membership prices, coupons and credit-card offers should be treated as conditional until they appear in checkout.
Cyber Monday laptop buying checklist
- Copy the exact model number and compare the CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD and display line by line.
- Confirm the laptop GPU’s TGP or wattage and whether a MUX switch or Advanced Optimus is included.
- Check RAM and storage upgrade options, especially on 8GB/512GB budget systems.
- Verify that the listing is new, identify the actual seller and read the warranty and return policy.
- Check shipping date, stock status, membership or coupon requirements and the final checkout total.
- Screenshot the advertised price, promised delivery date and configuration in case a price adjustment or return dispute is needed.
- Compare the price with recent street pricing rather than accepting the manufacturer’s list price as proof of a bargain.
Should you have bought these deals?
For maximum budget performance, the reported Lenovo LOQ was the clearest choice if its 16GB configuration and display met your needs. Under $600, the Acer Nitro V made more sense than the RTX 2050 Victus when an upgradeable memory path was available. Around $1,100–$1,200, the Alienware 16 Aurora favored a higher-resolution screen while the ROG Strix G16 favored a conventional performance design. The Zephyrus G14 addressed portability, and the MSI Katana made sense only when RTX 5070 performance outweighed chassis refinement. None should be purchased solely because the advertised saving was large.
